Cantonese grammar[edit]

邊個版本先啱? :0) It seems that the statement in the article is ambiguous. My understanding is that in HK Cantonese one can combine 邊 with the counting noun of the noun in question to create a "which" sentence. 邊個 is thus mentally parsed as "which [person]" = "who". You are correct. This is a very specific case in which the usage is correct. I'll revert back.

Some more examples for you:

今晚去邊度食飯？ (which place = where)
邊個今晚會返嚟食飯？ (which 個 [of person] = who)
有兩碗飯，你想食邊碗？ (which bowl [of rice])
