WITCH (computer)
[edit]Just a quick note to say, your update to the WITCH (computer) article was my first news that the machine has been adopted for rebuild, and actually made me cry real tears with joy. I remember my father showing me how to use this computer in the 1970s, when he was a statistics lecturer at Wolverhampton Polytechnic. Anyway, I am overjoyed at this news, thanks for updating the article. Andrew Oakley (talk) 10:21, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Harwell computer
[edit](Rather than revert back and forth, which is against policy, let's discuss this):
As an encyclopedia we try to keep a neutral and non-participatory tone: we report the work and thoughts of others, in aggregate, with citations. The section in question on the Harwell computer article is not, I feel, in keeping with that - in particular "There are also a series of short video recording of the machine in operation on YouTube. A search for Harwell Dekatron will identify these", which sort of..breaks the fourth wall, as it were. I'm happy to discuss various ways of rewording it if you're interested, but let's not revert back-and-forth :P. Ironholds (talk) 13:22, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
