Speedy deletion nomination of Scilligence

Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, Krystyana at Scilligence. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Scilligence, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Hi Krystyana,

You've just had a rather rough landing here at Wikipedia, and I hope I can put a bit of a human face on the process again.

I greatly appreciate that you have been open about your identity and your affiliation. That means that I know what's going on and who I'm talking to. The problem is that here at Wikipedia, we have a massive problem with companies and individuals trying to promote themselves and their products. Many of these people, like you, have really good intentions. Before I knew any better, about a decade ago, I also created an article about a company that I worked for. Even Jimmy Wales made the mistake of editing his own article!

I would really like to encourage you to take a look around, and see whether there is some way that you can enhance Wikipedia as a volunteer and an individual, without seeing a personal or corporate gain. It can be a really rewarding activity, and someone like you with skills in graphic design can do great work here.
