A tag has been placed on Scilligence, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Krystyana at Scilligence. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Scilligence, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Slashme (talk) 20:23, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

And finally a welcome and an explanation[edit]

Hi Krystyana,

You've just had a rather rough landing here at Wikipedia, and I hope I can put a bit of a human face on the process again.

I greatly appreciate that you have been open about your identity and your affiliation. That means that I know what's going on and who I'm talking to. The problem is that here at Wikipedia, we have a massive problem with companies and individuals trying to promote themselves and their products. Many of these people, like you, have really good intentions. Before I knew any better, about a decade ago, I also created an article about a company that I worked for. Even Jimmy Wales made the mistake of editing his own article!

I would really like to encourage you to take a look around, and see whether there is some way that you can enhance Wikipedia as a volunteer and an individual, without seeing a personal or corporate gain. It can be a really rewarding activity, and someone like you with skills in graphic design can do great work here.

I hope I haven't scared you off. If you're interested, I would love to show you around and help you to navigate Wikipedia. Please drop me a note at User talk:Slashme if only to shout at me :-D --Slashme (talk) 20:31, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
