Hi Kurtis. What do you understand my approach to civility to be? AGK [•] 11:15, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oh sorry, I never noticed that you commented here. I'm not sure if I can really point to anything specific — I guess I was just voting based on an overall impression. Well... OK, I didn't particularly care for the way the committee handled the Will Beback ban appeal, or the Ironholds-KW ArbCom case. I think I'll revisit my guide and perhaps change my votes. Thank you for your kind words, Kurtis These are appreciated. However, I'm not quite sure why you think I'm "inconsequential in the desire for change on ArbCom". Here are just a few important changes/reforms, which I've either initiated, influenced or actively supported:

My election statement briefly outlines the reforms I would work towards. I say To focus on core functions and perform them better, I believe the committee needs to shed some of its numerous responsibilities. This won't happen overnight, and the transition must be orderly, but the community and the WMF must start sharing some of the load. This is unambiguous stuff and I expand it here, setting out goals, practicalities and timescales. I also discuss in detail the realities of reforming the mailing lists. I believe, if re-elected, I will be the only arbitrator on the committee with: (1) any experience of widescale reform, (2) in-depth experience of the complexities of the task and (3) explicit stated reform goals.  Roger Davies talk 10:09, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, you did those? I guess I'll be revisiting my rationale. Sorry, it's just that I'm somewhat busy these days (part-time but physically demanding job = exhaustion). I guess I should have taken the time to review your candidacy more carefully. =/ Kurtis (talk) 18:34, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
