Where's My Mind Tour

Can you review the Where's My Mind Tour for GA? The Ultimate Boss (talk) 07:51, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

The Ultimate Boss Yes, I will review it sometime after you have nominated the tour but I've only just opened the review for "Therfore I Am", so be patient. --K. Peake 10:33, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

Uncomfortable GAN

Hi Kyle!

I just wanted to let you know that, while I do intend to finish the tweaks you suggested for my GAN of Uncomfortable (song) by the end of the week, I'm in the process of setting up several graduate school interviews, so I'll be taking it in small chunks throughout the week. Thank you for your help so far! Kncny11 (shoot) 18:25, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

Kncny11 Thank you for letting me know and I will be willing to wait until that point for you to complete the suggested changes, plus good luck with setting up the interviews! --K. Peake 21:30, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

Soon

I will get to the GA of Therefore I Am tomorrow after work. I have been barley editing wikipedia this past week because of school, work, and hanging out with friends until 12 am. The Ultimate Boss (talk) 06:38, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

The Ultimate Boss That is good to hear and I totally understand your absence, I will probably review a GAN of yours for the drive once this has passed to be honest! --K. Peake 08:04, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
Thank you for your time and patience, for being so passionate and dedicated to hundreds of GANs. Your work is very much appreciated! Damian Vo (talk) 16:55, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
Damian Vo Thanks a lot for the barnstar; I have enjoyed spending time reviewing articles as heavy in their coverage as yours and it is inspiring to see them be expanded to such a large extent!!! --K. Peake 17:34, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Need some help

Hey buddy! I was wondering if you'd be able to help me out with something. I just recently finished rewriting Give Yourself a Try for GA, however, I'm dealing with this user, who unfortunately insists on removing genres despite multiple sources. Would you be able to point me in the direction of an administrator to help me with this? I'd rather get this solved now, as I don't want a genre warrior ruining the stability of the article before its GA review. Thank you! Giacobbe talk 17:41, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

(CA)Giacobbe Hello, thank you for reaching out and I am very sorry for you going through this like I have experienced first-hand in the past. I do recommend first adding a message about it on the article's talk page but if the user continues to vandalise, then the best solution would be to take things to WP:RFPP.
Appreciate it mate! Giacobbe talk 18:43, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Pop Smoke

Can you review a Pop Smoke article that I nominated? I want to make his posthumous album a GA topic before it’s 1st year anniversary comes in July. The Ultimate Boss (talk) 09:59, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

The Ultimate Boss Yes, I will do soon after I have finished the review I'm currently in the midst; good luck with the GT and just remember that user's schedules are generally busier than usual right now during the GAN Backlog Drive. I can see you have put your name down but not added any reviews; are you waiting until "August" is on hold by any chance? --K. Peake 11:25, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

My song of defiance

Thank you for reviewing BWV 227. You will probably know that you are the third reviewer, and the present nominator was the first. Good luck. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:58, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

Gerda Arendt Yes I am aware of that; hopefully I can get the article in a GA-status after my review unlike the other times! --K. Peake 21:40, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

Good article nomination for Happiness (Red Velvet song)

I've resolved and finished editing the articles from your comments! Thank you so much for the time, effort, and helping me out! I've left a note and a message regarding the review on the talk page for the "GA" nomination! Thank you so much once again! :) Please let me know if there are things I should still add, remove, or if it is already okay. :) --LipaCityPH 00:32, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

March 2021

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in discussions about infoboxes and to edits adding, deleting, collapsing, or removing verifiable information from infoboxes. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 20:42, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

Ritchie333 Interesting that I receive this alert, as I never knew that WP sanctions page existed until now... yes, I do often focus on infoboxes and it is a good thing I haven't had any actual sanctions imposed though! --K. Peake 21:16, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
I talked to you, perhaps that's enough ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:20, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
I don't know what it is about infoboxes, but we've seen some of the most unpleasant disputes on Wikipedia over them, including two highly unpleasant arbitration cases (WP:ARBINFOBOX, WP:ARBINFOBOX2). So the alert is a standard procedure for anyone who has strong views on anything infobox-related to just proceed with caution, because there really are people who will seemingly go bezerk at you stating your view. (See Talk:Noël_Coward/Archive_2#RfC:_Should_an_Infobox_be_added_to_the_page? for a classic "feud", though I'm somewhat optimistic things have got better since). I don't particularly like the message and the formatting (I'd rather say something like, "hey, just a word about infoboxes, bit of friendly advice, just tread carefully around the subject"), but we've got to use it and we're stuck with it.
I personally take a laissez faire attitude - which is, if somebody makes a bold change to an infobox that doesn't obviously cause a readability / accessibility issue (such as something badly formatted or going out of alignment), then that's fine by me, but when somebody tries to argue a case for formatting an infobox in a particular way, I just have to recuse myself from the debate. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 21:25, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
Ritchie333 It is understandable that issues can be caused as a result of contrasting views, but it's good that I wasn't engaging in any uncivil form of debate with you during this review! --K. Peake 06:39, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Precious

lift yourself

Thank you for quality articles about the music of Kanye West, such as Touch the Sky, Lift Yourself, No Mistakes and Welcome to Heartbreak, for excellent (and large-scale) reviewing, for "I aim to make this site a better place" and "never feel afraid to leave any suggestions", - Kyle, you are an awesome Wikipedian!

You are recipient no. 2552 of Precious, a prize of QAI. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:39, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Gerda Arendt Thank you so much for the prize, I do enjoy editing Wikipedia and having expanded articles massively makes me feel glad that my contributions are fully appreciated! Interesting that you ended up awarding me this after we first encountered each other properly on my GA review of Jesu, meine Freude, BWV 227. However, can you help me figure out how to align the accomplishment to the left on my user page for consistency? --K. Peake 10:50, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
(ec) Well, I'm interested in the review, which means also in the reviewer, and was just amazed how much you achieved in rather short time. You hopefully don't mind that the award comes from the cabal of the outcast ;) - As for the thread above, I replied (somewhat) on my talk. A line from Jesu, meine Freude ("Ich steh hier und singe") was my only reply when the arbitration committee restricted my enthusiasm for the then new {{infobox opera}}. When the second arb case came, I refused to participate. The template is now in 1,504 operas, - enough for my enthusiasm, and funny, I just made 4 today ;) - Ritchie, you may be interested. - After edit conflict: I'll check the alignment. Looks like another question RexxS would have been good to ask. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:12, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
Now I know, you mean the alignment of this particular award? No, sorry, Br'er Rabbit, to whom I owe the design, had it centered, and left, I mean, he left us, No. 2 of the outcast. We will have to find out, or just leave it inconsistent/outcast ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:17, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt It is great to have a healthy speed, especially when strong detail is maintained as it is utilised! I definitely don't mind the review coming from the outcast because that is an honourable WikiProject and as for the alignment, that can be left as it is (really wish I could have used this as a pun) since the inconsistency isn't really a major issue for me. --K. Peake 11:32, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
thank you ;) - I said more about my song of defiance here - I have been personally attached to it for much longer than Wikipedia, - just for background. I nominated it on Bach's birthday, last year. Planning BWV 157 this year, but first need to rewrite it, - in memory of the friend who refuses to participate - arb case and all - right now. He was no formal member, but a great supporter. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:39, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt That must be a very personal link to the piece, good luck with the re-writing and probable nomination eventually! --K. Peake 11:44, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
I heard it on 28 February (pictured), - funeral music with a dance tune aria, to lift myself --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:54, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Enjoy Yourself

Hi Kyle, I was wondering if you can help review Enjoy Yourself (Pop Smoke song)? Drmies says it's not ready but I disagree. The Ultimate Boss (talk) 22:57, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

The Ultimate Boss Don't you need to wait for the user to put it up for second opinion first, plus even though you are a good writer are you sure it is correct to consistently reach out to me for reviews? --K. Peake 07:12, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
Kyle Peake The reason I always reach out to you is because you are the best writer I know here. I also want you to see if the article is good or not. The Ultimate Boss (talk) 07:16, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
The Ultimate Boss You don't need to mention me, as it is my talk page. I appreciate your complementing of my skills, but the only issue is that it may not be following common practice to become reliant on a certain editor for your reviews. --K. Peake 09:17, 14 March 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)

On 15 March 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Kids See Ghosts and Ty Dolla Sign were sued for allegedly sampling "The Spirit of Marcus Garvey (Garvey speaks to an all-Black audience)" in their song "Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Cups FA

I was wondering if you could leave some comments for "Cups" at FAC? The Ultimate Boss (talk) 06:09, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

The Ultimate Boss I will do later and regarding "Enjoy Yourself", I have no comment after the other reviewer has stepped in instead. --K. Peake 08:09, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
The Ultimate Boss I have left comments at the FAC now, if you want to take a peep. --K. Peake 16:46, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

Iced Out Audemurs

Hi Kyle, I’m so close to completing the GT for Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon. I was wondering if you could review Iced Out Audemars if you have time? The Ultimate Boss (talk) 05:07, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

Thank you

I want to thank you for everything you done to help me with throughout my time on Wikipedia. I really do appreciate it your help with reviewing almost all of Pop Smoke’s articles. Really grateful for helping me honor his career. I Hope your doing well with lockdown in the UK. Sending prayers from the US. 💫💫💫 The Ultimate Boss (talk) 09:35, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

The Ultimate Boss It is my honour to review so many articles, especially when it is likely they will go towards a GT in some cases like yours! Also, I'm doing fine with lockdown thanks even though it's illegal to meet more than one person sadly, how are things in the US? --K. Peake 12:07, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
Everything is fine in the US so far. Almost every state is open and is functioning like Covid didn't ever even happened. My high school and work are open all day. (Which I am not happy about lol) I've been hanging out with random friends every week since everything opened back up in May. I'm also going to be graduating in two months and going to college in two months! The Ultimate Boss (talk) 20:48, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
The Ultimate Boss Always fun to meet people even during a pandemic, but hopefully you don't get covid-19 if things get too loose! --K. Peake 21:25, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Some wings

Buffalo Wings
From a guy in a suburb in Buffalo, New York and a wing fanatic, here's some wings for ya for the GA review of Adventures in Modern Recording. HumanxAnthro (talk) 12:23, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
HumanxAnthro Thank you, I may have never visited NYC (yet anyway) but I seriously love some finger lickin' chicken, so it is great to receive this food item for the hard work I put into that review! --K. Peake 13:31, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
Buffalo and NYC are two different cities LOL HumanxAnthro (talk) 13:37, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
HumanxAnthro My bad haha I thought you were referencing New York City rather than the state initially, I do have a good knowledge of states in the US but obviously I need to improve things when it comes to cities y'know! --K. Peake 18:34, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Welcome to Heartbreak

On 25 March 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Welcome to Heartbreak, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Kanye West's inspiration for "Welcome to Heartbreak" was Dave Sirulnick showing him pictures of his children? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Welcome to Heartbreak. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Welcome to Heartbreak), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Cups FAC

I was wondering if you could reply to the comment for the "Cups" FAC? The Ultimate Boss (talk) 07:24, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

The Ultimate Boss I will take a look now; sorry I did not reply on 23 March, the notification was not received for some reason. --K. Peake 11:01, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

Quick look

Hello, I want to take a little time for you to take a look at the article that I created in my sandbox and give me your feedback about it please . Thank you (Doshkaz (talk) 07:31, 30 March 2021 (UTC))

Doshkaz The article needs expansion before you follow through with creation since it is too small, but the usage of foreign language refs is fully acceptable. --K. Peake 09:37, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

Thank you, I will work on that Doshkaz (talk) 11:49, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

As a purveyor of many GAs and GA reviews, can I have your trusted opinion on whether or not you this article could be a future GA? I've just written it and information is sparse as it did not chart, however there is absolutely enough information independent of the album for it to be notable. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 12:11, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Lil-unique1 I believe that with the amount of info the single has, it could become a future GA since charting is not a requirement; make sure you expand as much as possible though! --K. Peake 12:36, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
