Hi L0ngpar1sh, I wasn't quite sure exactly what the grammatical issue at hand was in differential equation, however you can edit the page yourself, if you so wish. Generally speaking, the wikipedia encourages a "be bold" editing style, where you just go and do what you think is appropriate. Most of the time, no-one will take issue with edits you make. Periodically you may need to discuss them. However the change you have suggested is pretty uncontroversial. so I am sure it will be fine! User A1 (talk) 18:23, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Other user names[edit]

On talk:Battle of Waterloo#Napoleon surrendered... you wrote "I have attempted to get this clarified in the past, but it persists.".[1]. I checked your contributions and AFAICT you have not asked this question with this user name before. Am I wrong? If not under which user name or IP address did you ask this question and on which talk page? -- PBS (talk) 18:52, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It would be a good idea to list your previous user names on your user page. As that will allow other editors to have a rounder knowledge of you (that is unless you have given yourself a clean start, but in that case you should not refer to your previous usage as you did on Talk:Battle of Waterloo). Also please go back to the Talk:Battle of Waterloo and replace the IP signature I presume you used with your user signature, as mixing signatures can be taken as a sign of sockpuppetry. In this case it is harmless but it is not a good idea to use different user accounts on the same talk page. -- PBS (talk) 10:26, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Old accounts that you have not used for many years are not so much of a problem. My last point was that you did not sign in before you last posting to Talk:Battle of Waterloo#Napoleon surrendered... instead you used an IP address. In general that is not a good idea and it would probably be a good idea if you were to repost the message with the correct signature. If you like I can then remove the IP edit so that your name is not tied to that IP address. -- PBS (talk) 11:20, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Your answers have more than satisfied me. I think we are talking at cross purposes here (and I assure you I am assuming good faith). My last post was advise and an offer to help if you require it, but it is not my intention to waste you time on this issue. -- PBS (talk) 13:56, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
