WikiCup participates in the Wikipedia:The Great Wikipedia Dramaout

Hello all, iMatthew here. I just wanted to let you know about "The Great Wikipedia Dramaout" which starts this Saturday. The goal of the Dramaout is to spend five days working on improving articles and abstaining from any of Wikipedia's drama. I don't think that any of you will have a problem focusing on articles for five days, because of course, any work you get done during the Dramaout will count towards your score in the WikiCup. Details are on the page; hope to see you all signing up! :) iMatthew talk at 00:27, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Jason reinders requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. <>Multi-Xfer<> (talk) 02:29, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

DYK for Chuck Workman (baseball)

Updated DYK query On September 20, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Chuck Workman (baseball), which you recently nominated. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Someone, probably you, requested access to the account creation tool. For security purposes could you please confirm that it was you who made the request so we can approve you, thanks. Prodego talk 15:19, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for applying to access the account creation tool. I have approved your request. You may now access the tool here. Before you do so, please read the tool's guide to familiarize yourself with the process. You may also want to join #wikipedia-en-accounts on irc and the mailing list. Keep in mind that the ACC tool is a powerful program, and misuse may result in your access being suspended by a tool administrator. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. Prodego talk 16:12, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

Additionally, could you remove the NOSECTIONEDIT from your talk page? It makes editing here a lot more complex then it needs to be. Thanks! Prodego talk 16:12, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks!

A double thanks actually, for your review and for reverting the vandalism to my page. Gotta love seeing your name in the article list in Huggle. --SKATER Speak. 20:46, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

admin coaching

Yes, I am sorry for the delay, but as you said, it is probably better for you to have a more active admin coach than I am at the moment. Although I may have some periods of major activity, I will probably be preoccupied with events in real life for now and could disappear for weeks at a time. If you ever notice that I'm online though, you can definitely ask me any question. Academic Challenger (talk) 05:04, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Kings Mill, Stamford

Re your nomination of this article at AfD, I can understand why you nominated it in the state it was in. However, the article had only been created six minutes before nomination (did you find it via RPP?). It may have been better to drop a note on the creator's talk page and ask them if they could improve the article by expansion and providing references rather than nominating it at AfD immediately. If no improvement had been made after a reasonable amount of time then you would have had a more solid reason to nominate the article. Mjroots (talk) 09:54, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

RE: Admin Coach

Sorry for the late reply, genuinely did not see this until now. I'm afraid I'll have to turn you away for now; I do not have the time needed to coach you to an adequate standard. Apologies. Any questions related to sysops you have you may ask me; talk page and email are good. :) Sorry again,  GARDEN  21:20, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Good luck against the Yankees. We are very tough and Los Angeles Angels are tough too. Which ever team wins has to give a barnstar. Okay? We have to decide what barnstar or awards we are choosing. RuneScape Adventure Sign! 02:08, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Pasgiby

Hi I noticed you alerted this user that their recent addition has become a candidate for speedy deletion, however the history shows no evidence of the addition of an SD tag. I would add the tag myself but I'm really torn between the criteria by which to tag the article under. Jeffrey Mall (talkcontribs) - 17:48, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Don't worry it was previously deleted and recreated by the same user, I've tagged it to be deleted under G3. Cheers, Jeffrey Mall (talkcontribs) - 18:00, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

This AFD was not eligible for speedy closure as it does not meet any of the criteria. The nominator (me) has not withdrawn the nomination nor endorse anything other than deletion. WP:SNOW is not a criteria for speedy keep. I dont doubt the outcome will be keep so I dont plan to contest your closure but wanted to point out the policy.--RadioFan (talk) 19:56, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
