Orphaned non-free media (File:Lankenau Institute for Medical Research.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lankenau Institute for Medical Research.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:19, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: George C. Prendergast

[edit]

Articles for creation: George C. Prendergast

Response to criteria: I have now added citations for each of Dr. Prendergast's high-level positions, as well as provided new peer-reviewed publications with citations. These are some of his most highly-cited (and peer-reviewed) papers as per Google Scholar (see link on page). He has published in many prestigious scientific journals, including Cell, Science and Nature, three of the top journals in the world. He has been cited almost 11,000 times, which is notable. In addition, he is the Editor-in-Chief of Cancer Research, the most cited journal in the field of cancer (cited on the page twice, one is an interview). This also meets your criteria for notability of an Academic.

I have also added a Video and Podcast section to speak to notability within his scientific field.

Is this sufficient to create the page?

Thanks, LIMRMgrComm (talk) 21:04, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you. —DoRD (talk) 19:59, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
