March 2020[edit]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. Requested username:

Request reason:

We checked Wikipedia but could not find our institution listed here, so we thought of creating the page on London School of Business and Research. This page was only created to provide our global learners a starting platform where they can edit the information on their own and in no way intended to self promotion. If you suggest, we can remove all links to our website url other than link under official page at the bottom. We are an online education institution and have a global footprint and learners from more than 60 countries currently studying on our LMS platform. So we would request you to kindly consider our case and unblock our account

Decline reason:

The proposed new username is problematic from a technical standpoint due to all the symbols in it; please choose something without all the symbols. In addition, the other elements of the block still need to be addressed. To be unblocked:

If you have no interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about your organization, then you will not be unblocked. If this is the case, I recommend you consider alternative outlets.

So we know understanding is mutual, please state your understanding/response to each item in your own words.

I'm sorry that this message could not be more favorable. 331dot (talk) 09:21, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Thanks for your response. As requested, I confirm that the account is used by one individual only, i.e. myself. Further with reference to your 2nd suggestion, I confirm that beyond this point I will not be creating or directly editing the articles related to our organization. Further as per your 3rd suggestion, I agree to abide by the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of use and will surely disclose any paid relationship in accordance with the paid contributor policy. With reference to your 4th suggestion, I do not intend to edit my organization page further to what I have already edited. However, I have over 25 years of Management Experience and would like to contribute by editing other articles relating to management education. Thank you for your consideration and I certainly look forward to your suggestion.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 10:31, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
