To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Ways to improve Obadiah Elliott[edit]

Hi, I'm Slatersteven. LXV, thanks for creating Obadiah Elliott!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Needs a bit more to establish any notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Slatersteven. Yes, thanks, I realise better sources will be needed and I've raised the point at the Transport project as some of their guys might have useful books. Will see what else I can find too. There can be no question of notability per se because the invention happened and it has had massive significance. It's strange that this inventor has such a low profile when you think of all the nonentities who have high ones! Thanks again, Alex. LXV (talk) 16:11, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I'd just found the first one before you wrote. I'll put the other one in as well. All the best, Alex. LXV (talk) 16:20, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve The Railway Detective[edit]

Hi, I'm Cwmhiraeth. LXV, thanks for creating The Railway Detective!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This is a well-written article but somewhat unbalanced; it could do with fewer details of the plot and characters, and more about the publishing of the book and its reception by reviewers.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
