User talk:L Manju/2018
Hi Manju, I have removed the citation you have reinserted in as the reference you provided directed to wiki page The Sri Lanka Gazette. I think you copy and paste the reference. Kindly recite with the actual web page URL which you intended. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA (talk) 08:10, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- The electronic version of Sri Lankan Gazettes are not available back from 2005. So can not provide a web page URL--L Manju (talk) 08:15, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- I'm struggling to find any web-based references to the Vihara, is it likely that there may be alternative spellings? Also I'm not certain if a lot of the article is original research. Dan arndt (talk) 09:05, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- Yes. The content is seemed to be directly copied from an original research. Most probably those parts should be rewritten. The word Dodantale temple/Vihara gives references list but most of them can not be accessed. (Especially this book -Mediæval Sinhalese Art by Ananda Kentish Coomaraswamy (1908)) I am also struggling to find some good references--L Manju (talk) 09:19, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

[edit]You did not add a reason or description as to why the page was reverted — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.157.65.61 (talk) 18:09, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
- Is that a notable thing? I saw that you had added a youtube link as a reference. Those are not considered reliable--L Manju (talk) 03:02, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
Naga people (Lanka)
[edit]Hi L Manju. I have mentioned you on Talk:Naga people (Lanka). Kindly reply. Xenani (talk) 22:41, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hello Xenani I saw it. Give me some time or otherwise you can edit it. --L Manju (talk) 03:57, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
L Manju, that is fine. I noticed other things where also to close paraphrasing. I will look into it. Thanks. Xenani (talk) 12:51, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
2018 anti-Muslim riots
[edit]Hi, as you are a member of WikiProject Sri Lanka I wanted to ask you whether we can add the recent Kandy violence between Muslims and Buddhists on 5 March 2018 into the article 2018 anti-Muslim riots in Sri Lanka which completely describes about the violence between Muslims and Buddhists in the Ampara district which was held last month. I noticed that some of them have listed this article as a current topic and the number of pageviews got increased to excess of 2000 after the violence in Kandy. So instead of having 2 separate articles we could state the situations in 2 different cities under the common article, 2018 anti-Muslim riots in Sri Lanka. Abishe (talk) 09:51, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
@L Manju: Well I noticed that an inexperienced User has created an article related to Kandy Digana violence under the title, Anti Muslim riots in Digana Sri Lanka 2018. So the previous article's header, 2018 anti-Muslim riots in Sri Lanka should be renamed as Anti Muslim riots in Ampara 2018. Please help me out in this case. Abishe (talk) 11:07, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Abishe, I also think that we can add the Kandy incidents in to the first article (2018 anti-Muslim riots in Sri Lanka) as it covers the total year.--L Manju (talk) 11:30, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
@L Manju:, There were discussions about describing both the Ampara and Kandy violences under a common title rather than splitting it into 2 separate articles and both of these communal violences have been merged into the single article 2018 anti-Muslim riots in Sri Lanka. Thanks. Abishe (talk) 11:51, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
