Herb Trimpe[edit]

Of course, Laflins; glad to help. What sort of information can I give you? --Tenebrae (talk) 17:35, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tenebrae: I put another comment/note on YOUR talk page. Hope a) it appears and b) you can figure out my befuddlement. Thanks.

Hi, Laflines. There's not really any earning of bona fides — anyone who wants to make an edit with a reliable-source citation can make one. But you're right in that it can be a little confusing to get the rhythm of it.
I didn't see any "pending-revision" edits on the Herb Trimpe page. Why don't you tell me what you'd like to add and where the information comes from, and we can take it from there? --Tenebrae (talk) 17:32, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I made an edit on April 29, thus: 02:51, 29 April 2015 100.40.133.14 (is that my URL? As I said, I am clueless.) In which I tried to correct the erroneous phrase "late in life" in regards to Herb's moving to Kerhonkson. Here's the deal, I am his ex-wife (No. 2), and, um, I was here/there when we moved to Kerhonkson, where I still live. How do I verify who I am? Not that this information is in any way essential to his legacy! This whole process seems sci-fi bizarre on some levels! But highly entertaining in a Gibsonesque way. I don't want to post my email or anything, but there should be a way, eh?

I've changed "Late in life" to "At some point" with the edit-summary: "As per discussion at User talk:Laflines, we don't know the actual timeframe." You're right — the White Pages list him there in 2011, but we don't know how long he was there. Good catch.
And the LAF in Laflines must be Linda A. Fite! Presuming that it is truly you (which I believe in this case, though anyone can claim to be anyone here), may I say how neat it is to communicate with a name from my young comics-collecting days. You wrote The Cat, and figure into the famous 1971 Rolling Stone article! I'm sure fans of Bronze Age Marvel would love to catch up with you, and presuming you know Roy Thomas, it would be wonderful to see you interviewed in his magazine Alter Ego. Please think about it! With regards, --Tenebrae (talk)

You have ID'd me correctly, oh Tenebrae! Jeez, I may have already done an Alter Ego interview. Dewey Cassell interviewed me for his fab book on Marie Severin, and I am pretty sure Jon B. Cooke has an interview with me somewhere in one of his pubs. The older I get, the less I remember, but I sure know when we moved to Kerhonkson (since I was thoroughly preggers with Kid No. 2 at the time, and she was born 7/17/76, and she just turned 39 -- gasp!). "At some point" will do quite nicely; and the date hardly matters. Cheers.
