Disambiguation link notification for July 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Leptotes (butterfly), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Australasian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 20:32, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Taxonomic change related moves[edit]

Just a heads-up, please feel free to let me know if you run into any page moves associated for Lepidopteran taxonomy changes that require more permissions. Going through move requests is a slow process and there are not many editors working on Lepidoptera in any case and you are obviously being quite quite careful with these. Shyamal (talk) 02:13, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Shyamal, thank you for your help! I was not sure what the best method is, so in the past few days I already made a few similar move requests that are still pending, see Polyommatus albicans, Aricia lupini, Aricia icarioides, Hemiargus isola, Chilades trochylus, and Chilades minuscula (all from the same batch of Polyommatinae taxonomy updates). Thanks --LamBoet (talk) 06:54, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Shyamal, I found 3 other ones: Plebejus sephirus, Cupido myrrha, and Celastrina melaena. Thanks! --LamBoet (talk) 19:20, 11 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Green tickY - moved. Shyamal (talk) 03:21, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I see that the Callenya melaena placement is after - Eliot, J.N. & Kawazoé, A. 1983. Blue butterflies of the Lycaenopsis group, 309 pp, 6 pls. British Museum (Natural History), London. (p. 258) - not sure if this has been examined in any large scale phylogenetic studies... Shyamal (talk) 03:30, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Shyamal: Indeed, I don't know if it has. --LamBoet (talk) 03:39, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Shyamal, I have a similar situation, could you please help me move these?
Thank you in advance! --LamBoet (talk) 01:38, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for creating these! For next time, it would be helpful to put the redirect term on the target page when creating the redirect.

Notation[edit]

Thanks for pointing out the mistake I was making, indeed transferring from botanical articles. If it is ok, I'll place range comments after a hyphen, because all the brackets don't read well in my opinion, and also looks like notation when it isn't. JMK (talk) 17:46, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @JMK, yes, good idea, but I would suggest using an em dash instead (hyphens are meant to join words or parts of words). Best --LamBoet (talk) 19:02, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for catching my butterfly[edit]
