Changing the style of citations

[edit]

See WP:CITEVAR - citation styles should not be changed without getting consensus to do so on the associated talk page first. - MrOllie (talk) 12:17, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was not aware of this policy. I am a new editor. However, I also see that it says:
"If all or most of the citations in an article consist of bare URLs, or otherwise fail to provide needed bibliographic data – such as the name of the source, the title of the article or web page consulted, the author (if known), the publication date (if known), and the page numbers (where relevant) – then that would not count as a "consistent citation style" and can be changed freely to insert such data. "
These citations included only the title and the page. They did not included the name of the publication, the date of publication and the names of the writers. I was Marely improving them. Wouldn't this be allowed? Lamariadegarcia (talk) 17:00, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In addition, I have also added a live link to Google Books. I do not see how this would be opposed by anyone. Lamariadegarcia (talk) 17:02, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
