A tag has been placed on YouTube Celebrities (Lego) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Removing Speedy at YouTube Celebrities (Lego)

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with YouTube Celebrities (Lego). If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:19, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

Hi there - I noticed you posted help me on an article. What do you need help with? --Addihockey10(review me!) 19:22, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I think you are trying to save the WP:CSD posted article. I have, on behalf of you, added the {{hangon}} template. In the future, if an article is a speedy deletion candidate, and you created the article, then this is the code you should add to indicate you wish to be given time to justify why the article should remain. You should proceed to Talk:YouTube Celebrities (Lego) and explain your reasoning. This is the appropriate venue in which to explain why you think the page meets Wikipedia policies. I also advise you read over notability policies before posting to ensure you understand why this article should remain on Wikipedia. Happy editing! --Mpdelbuono (talk) 19:24, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Off to a bad start

[edit]

Sorry about the hard time you are having right now; you were recently reported to be blocked, but I have declined the report. You don't deserve all the vandalism warnings you received, however you are NOT supposed to remove speedy deletion tags.

About your page, thank you for trying to improve the encyclopedia, however subjects must meet some standards of "notability" or importance (see the notability guidelines) before they can be included and I don't really think that YouTube users (except in a very few cases) are really notable.

So, you should stop removing the deletion tag, and justify any reasons why you think your article should stay (notability can be proved by showing that "reliable sources", such as newspapers, have published articles on the topic), and an administrator will come along a make a decision. In all frankness though, you article does not have that much hope. You are free to take it and publish it somewhere else on the internet.

I am sorry you are having a rough start, Wikipedia can be really hard, we would like to see you stay though. Icewedge (talk) 19:52, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I second Icewedge. You're not vandalizing, but it's important to remember that Wikipedia isn't a collection of things that editors have made up: all contributions need to be sourced and represent notable people or groups as determined by coverage in the mainstream press. That's where it fails - there's no instance of these individuals getting press, it's just your opinion, and with respect, that's not enough. Acroterion (talk) 20:25, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
