Hi, can you tell me where you got the information about the firebreaks on the Swiss Re building? I'm just looking for some references. Thanks - Welcome to Wiki--Muchosucko 23:57, 18 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I hope my edits did not discourage you from adding more stuff. That's the last thing I want to do. Please continue to add. All additions are stored in the history and can be retrieved if necessary. You sound like you have a lot to offer, so I really don't want to scare you away. I'm just an editor who likes architecture, not a specialist as you seem to be. I will work on this article shortly. If you can continue adding to the article with pictures or anything at all -- Please, Please do. I removed the Arup reference because it didn't seem to fit. I'll probably open a new paragraph on the structual engineering to incorporate your contribs. Again, Wiki is completely open source. You can do anything you want for the article. Nobody has the final say on the shape of the article - least of all me. No one edit is the final word. Thanks for contributing! --Muchosucko 16:44, 20 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Architecture Wikiproject

[edit]

Hi. Great work with all your architecture edits. I was wondering if you might be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Architecture. Also we've been revamping the Architecture Portal and nominations to Portal:Architecture/Selected picture candidates and Portal:Architecture/Selected article candidates will always be welcome.--Mcginnly | Natter 10:10, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|1) Account name policy appears to be for accounts created on/after sometime in 2006. Mine was created in 2005. 2) Pschemp is not contactable. 3) The block appears to cover my statically assigned IP address: why? No non Laos edits have come from it since I've owned that IP (must be more than a year) 4) I've not exactly been an extremely active/contentious editor(to my shame...). 5) I think that Pschemp's recent actions need an audit from a level headed admin to see if anyone else is in the same boat: his/her responses to apparently diffident questions on his/her talk page appear prickly and inflammatory on occasion. 6) I chose Laos as the first word to come into my head the first time I wanted to contribute, back in 2005. I've not got (and have never had) any other Wikipedia account. 7) Should the need arise, I am happy to identify myself unambiguously to relevant administrators.}}

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Can't see any reason this is an unacceptable username.

Request handled by: jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 02:08, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can unblock your ip to allow you to form a new account or change you username. Username changes can take a little bit and you have so few edits that you might want to start a new account.--Sandahl 00:49, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps I'm missing something; why is "Laos" an unacceptable username? --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 01:22, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am wondering too, the reason may have been that Laos is a nation. The blocking admin is not currently online to consult with. --Sandahl 01:40, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll just unblock.--jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 02:08, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas

Wishing you the very best for the season - Alice

We are very sorry that you had to wait so long to be unblocked and you probably qualify for some sort of award for your patience and the polite way you argued your case to be unblocked. Alice

Thank you all for spending the time to investigate and unblock.
