Deletion of Chanakya episodes

Why did you remove the episodes section? It needed a little reworking but there was no need for the deletion. Nadesai (talk) 18:45, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

It was a copy of the material provided by the disc manufacturer. As I wrote in the edit summary, it would be better if the plot section is expanded to cover the entire story. I 'll try to do it when I find some more time. I'm not against an episode list. But it cannot be a 100% lift-off from the dvd packaging. Last Contrarian (talk) 15:02, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Gehrayee-dvd-cover.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Gehrayee-dvd-cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? feydey (talk) 13:36, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Original air-date of the episodes

By any chance do you have any source for original airing dates of Chanakya (TV series), episode wise? Nadesai (talk) 09:13, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

No, unfortunately. I can't locate the start and end telecast dates either. Episode-wise dates might only be available in offline newspaper archives. Most publishers don't have anything before 1997 online.Last Contrarian (talk) 12:18, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
This is as far as I could come. Last Contrarian (talk) 20:52, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Great work

Hi, I just noticed the improvements you (and others) have made to the Chanakya (TV series) article, thank you. I had looked at the article a few months ago, so it's quite a pleasant surprise to suddenly see it in much better shape. Regards, Shreevatsa (talk) 03:09, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Appreciate the compliment. Last Contrarian (talk) 12:47, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Satya

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I don't remember reviewing this particular article (I've done hundreds since then), but it appears that there were a few sections that were still not referenced. B is close to the next class, GA, where all sections should be sourced. I probably didn't tag the parameter because of the citation needed tag and the unsourced accolades section. Looking over the article, it would be a good idea to cut the plot down to 400-700 words per WP:FILMPLOT and remove the dialogue section (those quotes can be moved over to WikiQuote, and a link included here in the external links. If the goal is to get it to GA, I would recommend a peer review and an editor or two to copyedit the article. Let me know if you need any further clarification. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 04:00, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

I've reworked the plot section and it's now just under 750 words. I don't think I can cut it down further. As for the sourcing bit, yes, the reception section ought to be rewritten. And that citation needed tag is no longer an issue.
I am not in favor of the dialogues section, but if, as you suggest, I move it to wikiquote, it would have to be the hindi version, wouldn't it?
The article has been at B under the India project for the last two years. Once it attains a similar rating under the cinema project, I'll think of where to go next. BTW, do suggest a couple of editors who can clean up the language so that I can contact them once I've restructed the article. Last Contrarian (talk) 14:49, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
