Hello

[edit]

Thanks for your suggestions. I will do when I get some time. burdak (talk) 14:44, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi!!,References have been added now. Please don't call it un-sourced and delete it. Link to one of the books is here [1] Thanks Rorkadian (talk) 10:43, 6 March 2010 (UTC) I tried to fix that link you have given as reference in your new edit but it is still not appearing correctly in the reference section.Rorkadian (talk) 11:09, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear friend, I got the point but then should you not move the photo of the Murray's Lancer to the Jat people page. Rorkadian (talk) 11:34, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Dear friend, I'm in the favor of retaining both the picture of the Risaldar Major and the sentence about Haryanvi Rors ruling Sindh. People have always tried to reduce the importance of Haryanvis by hiding our imperial history. I think it is time to let everyone know that right from Mahabharat to Prithiraj Chauhan, it was Haryanvis ruling the whole of India. There was no other Aryan element that ever came from anywhere abroad. The Aryan element was a Haryanvi element in Indian history. Rorkadian (talk) 11:46, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try and upload some pictures next week. Thanks Rorkadian (talk) 12:07, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re. Discussion

[edit]

I have, in good faith, removed the warning that was here.

I take no sides in arguments; I'm not complaining at you, warning you, or criticising; I just popped in to remove the warning, so things can return to peace. You've said that was your last reply - so it's time to drop the WP:STICK; let's all just get on with editing. Thank you. Best,  Chzz  ►  18:58, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

36 Royal Races

[edit]

A very contentious point my friend and needs discussion, but why do we have to act like pseudo-Rajputs (as a wider question)? --Sikh-History 06:42, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You latest addition to Jat People will be challenged, so make sure you know your sources inside out. You will lose the website one. Bhim Singh Dhayia is tenous, and the last I haven't checked. Anyway Best of Luck --Sikh-History 21:47, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jat People

[edit]

Hi, Royal Jat Warrior. You undid 3 of my revisions on the jat people page.

May I ask why you reverted my edit to the "origins and genetic studies" subheading? The way it read before my edits was a history of Romany people more than jat people, so i changed it to reflect jat origins. I even retained the study, but deleted the irrelevant block quote, which read like it should be on the origins subheading of the Romany people. If Romany are descended from jats it shouldn't be in section about the origins about the jat people, the jat people's origins should be there, is what I am trying to say. I also renamed the subheading to be "origins" instead of "origins and genetic studies" because its misleading if there is one genetic study and its not even related to the origins of the jat people but rather a chance relationship with a group that might have been descended from jats.

Also if you are serious about making sure the pictures are relevant to the text next to them you should change Maharaja Ranjit Singh's photo because you have his picture next to text about the jat uprising when he was in fact he ruled from 1801 on and his picture might be better placed at the subheading entitled Sikh States. You also might want to change Maharaja Churaman's picture because he rose to power in 1695 but his picture is located next to the demographics and sikh states portions of the article.Suraj Mal of Bharatpur picture is next to the medieval period when he was an 18th century ruler. I don't think my rearranging of the pictures was at all out of line when you consider they were already not related to the text next to them.

I am glad the page has people active and I hope we can improve the page. I am reverting my edits but I encourage you to discuss this with me further. Remember Wikipedia:Assume good faith and Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Profitoftruth85 (talkcontribs) 15:36, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and welcome to wikipedia...,

Why do you think im trying to bite you ? plz. explain.. I just reverted your edits on Genetic section of Jat people because it is much discussed section and any addition to this article should be made after reaching consensus with other group of editors, specially User:Dbachmann who is the original editor of that section.Thanks-- Last Emperor (talk)

Natthan Singh

[edit]

There is discussion about deletion of Natthan Singh article. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Natthan Singh. You would like to participate there. burdak (talk) 03:26, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

your revert on ranjit singh

[edit]

During his time, ranjit singh was known as the maharaja of lahore.... I'm not sure why you identified it as vandalism. See the treaty of lahore#The Text of the 1846 Treaty of Lahore where him and his successor are referred to under the title of maharaja of lahore.

Hi, the link you provided is not working + it'll be better to add your references to the subject pages rather than here. If you'll add refs. than no one will question your edits.thanks-- Last Emperor (talk)

Why? Woogee (talk) 05:08, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And Senna cetera. Are you actually reading what you're tagging? Woogee (talk) 05:09, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's kind of silly to tag articles which are tagged for speedy deletion. You're just giving them cache. Woogee (talk) 05:16, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Woogee (talk) 05:20, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Haryana - Punjab discussion on Haryana talk page

[edit]

Thanks for informing me, bro. Rorkadian (talk) 17:46, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In March you added two citations to books published by Icon Group International to this article. Unfortunately, Icon Group International is not a reliable source - their books are copied from Wikipedia. I'm removing a lot of references; many other editors have also been tricked by these sources. Hello brother there seems to be a problem in which I would require your help, there is this guy from Pakistan Qaleechpuri who is claiming Jat is different and Jatt is different . I added to the page that he created about Jatt the same stuff we had on Jat people page so that there is no confusion but he is hell bent in pointing out that only Punjabi Jatt is there and Jaat is seprate of rest of the India. I have given him references too but he is bent upon saying that eastern Punjab and western Punjab is Jatt and rest is not. If you could help me plz contact as he is trying delete the page of Jatt with the text on jat page and add his Pakistani Muslim jatt history.Plz help.

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:48, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
