Hello Laurie, I have moved your draft article to User:Laurie melville/John McKean where you can continue to develop it.

The answer to your specific question is that when it is ready to move to article space, you would move it to John McKean (author) (which is a red-link at present, because that article does not exist). At that point, you would also add a {{dablink}} template to it, pointing to the Disambiguation page John McKean, and add a link to it from that disambiguation page.

However, your page needs a lot of work before you can do that. The most important point is that you have no few or no citations to reliable sources. All information in Wikipedia is supposed to be specifically cited to such sources (see WP:CITE) - general links at the end of an article are not enough. While this rule is unfortunately not always followed, it is particularly important for biographies of living people. A related point is that Wikipedia has a criterion for including articles called notability: this is not directly whether or not a subject is important, but whether it has been discussed in multiple independent reliable sources - and the article must directly demonstrate how its subject is notable in that sense.

As you will see, I have just applied a fair amount of Wikipedia formatting to the page - please look at how I have done this to see how to do it yourself.
