Sorry my bad :P Compwhiz II 19:59, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That would be a great way to do it. And please let me know if I can help in any way. Sorry if I seemed unhelpful earlier, this place gets spammed and vandalised so often it becomes easy to assume that's what everyone is doing - you've reminded me that most people here are doing things for the best reasons. Gaffertape (talk) 20:02, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Again, please let me know if I can help at all. One thing I would suggest is that you draft the pages on your userpages (and not in the sandbox) - the sandbox is regularly deleted. Gaffertape (talk) 20:15, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

reflist[edit]

I'll help you add a proper reflist to that article Varangian Rossi. Just give me ten minutes or so to work on it please. Sting_au Talk 22:00, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've just added the first one. They still need to be tweaked a little to improve them i.e. needs an isbn number. I used the citebook template. You can also use citewebs if referencing from the Internet. You can find the templates at WP:CIT. I'll add a couple more but I'm pushed for time this morning. Lots to do so after I add this next one see if you get the idea and try doing the inline citations yourself? Sting_au Talk 22:14, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I added the second one but I think you get the idea. I think it will be a good article once the kinks ironed out. I am interested in historical articles so might come back and take a look later. Cheers, Sting_au Talk 22:20, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Try this link for "Rus" Kievan Rus'#Early history of Rus′ you can tweak it to look like this Rus. I'm suggesting this because I noticed the "Rus" internal link just goes to a disambiguation page that doesn't give a page for these medieval Rus people. All internal links need to direct to specific articles. Sting_au Talk 04:54, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just noticed Varangians. Is this the same people your article is about? If it is we might need to change the Varangian Rossi article to a redirect to the original article. No need for two articles on the same subject. Take a look and let me know what you think please. I can do the redirect if you think that's best? Sting_au Talk 05:00, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I will change to early history of Kievan Rus. The Varangians article is about the same people but not the same subject matter. I have to go to work now but will address this issue further tonight. --Laz6789 (talk) 11:40, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed the reference to Rus' (people). I don't think a redirect is necessary as we are talking about the name and its historical references and not the people themselves in this article. --Laz6789 (talk) 00:34, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
