Any Luck?

Did you have any luck with the picture yet? If you do, let me know what it is. Thanks. LunaRain~ 05:32, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Milling Bio

I have been fighting with the creator all day about that bio. The tags keep getting removed. I must have requested deletion at least three times. Maybe it's time to ask an admin or heavy-hitter to step in? I wish you luck. A little mollusk (talk) 02:41, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but someone is trying to add this bio again with slight alteration of the name. They were using "Kate" rather than "Kathryn." I neglected to see the user name. Thanks for your time and assistance. A little mollusk (talk) 21:28, 4 March 2008 (UTC) 21:27, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Re: BTW

Yeah, I know about revision history, and that's what allows me to revert. But most spammers won't go trawling across user pages to find e-mails, much less go through old, cached versions of the page. Besides, not many people know that page exists. Danny Sepley (talk) 04:19, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

speedy deletion tags

That strikes me as a rather poor choice. Why not just redirect the talk pages to Talk:List of minor Artemis Fowl characters? bibliomaniac15 I see no changes 02:37, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bret Harte SJ school.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bret Harte SJ school.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:34, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Picture and UBX

Thank you very much for the userbox, it looks nice on my page. And are you sure it was released under a public license? I'm told that Mr. Flanagan flew that plane...did you tell Mr. Compton where the picture was going to end up? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Danny sepley (talkcontribs) 02:14, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to the PCP!

Thanks for joining the Pokémon Collaborative Project! We hope you have a great time editing Pokémon articles. If you have any questions about the articles, style, content, or simply what our favourite Pokémon are (our opinions vary, trust us!), leave a message on the project talk page. Cheers, and happy editing!

What's with the speedy deletion?! She's a State Senator - check the Notability Guidelines as they are SPECIFICALLY included.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Flatterworld (talkcontribs) 11:31, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy Tagging

Hey. You recently warned User:TrainTC about removed speedy tags from pages they created themselves; they didn't. I removed the tag as it was clearly meant to be a redirect, seems to me to be a valid misspelling/other spelling option, and was created in good faith, and fixed the redirect. I suggest that you check who removed the tag, and if there was a valid reason, before warning - as the WP:CSD page states that 'any editor who is not the creator of the page may remove a speedy tag from it'. Cheers, Ale_Jrbtalk 19:30, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

What gives with the speedy deletion tag in the middle of creating an article? It gets rather disconcerting when receiving such messages. I understand the need to weed out bogus articles and also those of little consequence, but please, next time try not to be so quick on the trigger and if in doubt ask the question of the originator. Thanks very much for your patience and understanding. --HJKeats (talk) 00:05, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Is this new policy for creating articles within Wikipedia, if so I will gladly adhere to them. --HJKeats (talk) 00:18, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Rather than follow your suggestion and develop a two step process to generating articles I'll do it the way I have always done it since 2005. Which BTW is the way that Wikipedia likes it... when you click red-lettered topic it will take you directly into an edit mode for generation of an article. I’ll take my chances for a speedy delete, which I might add is the first one I have ever received. No worries, I applaud you for been pro-active, it’s just that it took me by surprise to get it as quickly as I did from you. --HJKeats (talk) 00:31, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

bestfreewebhost.info

I created a page for the site bestfreewebhost.info just like there is a page for google or any other site. I have never made a wikipedia page before and wanted to start with something simple. Why was the page deleted. It was not advertising.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Okletmesee (talkcontribs) 18:11, 4 March 2008

Contact (e-mail)?

I know Wikipedia asks for your e-mail, but it's in case other users want to contact you, right? Is there an alternate way I can contact you, besides your talk page? For example, can you choose to include your e-mail (though masked) so that messages can be sent to you, but your address will not be exposed? So, while I'm at it, has my footage for piano week been imported yet? Danny Sepley (talk) 00:23, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

That was remarkably quick! (and correct, of course) As a bit of a research question, do you routinely patrol Wikipedia for such entries that violate policy? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tompeszek (talkcontribs) 03:02, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion Warning on my Page

Im just wondering if you could help me understand the speedy deletion warning on one of my pages, I dont really understand. Please, just if you have time, cause I just really don't know. My page is Mario's Final Smash Thank you either way, Darkhyp (talk) 03:49, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

spam tags

Please be just a bit more conservative about adding speedy delete tags for spam to articles. if the figure is important, it is generally a better idea fort he article to be rewritten, or if necessarily reduced to a stub. there's no sharp guideline, but as the reviewing administrator I have been removing about one-third of the tags you place, and agreeing with you and deleting the other two-thirds of the articles. Try using the tags for "tone" and "unreferenced" instead. It is possible that some of these articles might have been copied from another sources, and you should check for copyvio first. If you can find it, its an indisputable cause for deletion. Some of the comments above from others about other issues are also appropriate. DGG (talk) 05:40, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

Hi, I understand that you deleted my stub because it was very small (1 line only) but actually I hoped that by creating the page, someone more knowledgable than me would complete it. Tsunanet (talk) 22:43, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

AN/I

I am really worried about bringing this up at AN/I because i've already been threatened by an admin. [1] . I am trying to file an RFC [2] any help would be appreaciated. Uconnstud (talk) 23:28, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

I know I wasn't an angel, but I was blocked by him for WP:Dispute for posting my opinion on AN/I. He said I was bitching [3], rewrote something I wrote on my own talk page [4] in violation of WP:DRC and changed the title of a complaint I had on AN/I [5] Uconnstud (talk) 23:40, 15 March 2008 (UTC) If you could, would you be able to certify what I'm writing on the RFC ? I am providing a lot of differentials so it's not like i'm making this up. [6] Uconnstud (talk) 23:54, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

I actually contacted him. [7] thanks Uconnstud (talk) 00:09, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey if you want to certify you can do it here [8]Uconnstud (talk) 00:47, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

RFC input

Hey, since your comment at the JzG RFC doesn't seem to be an endorsement of Jossi's outside view, you should move it to another section (either presenting an outside view of your own or in the discussion section). Thanks, Metros (talk) 00:29, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

help?

Here's the content of the help request I entered: I have two questions which are driving me near-crazy. Everything I get referred to in your FAQ or other tutorial pages opens up thousands of comments, none of which bear directly on my questions. Question #1: I am a total newbie. I am doing my best. I created an article "Chor Leoni Men's Choir" the day before yesterday. Within 12 hours there was a prod tag on it saying it would be deleted as "spam" in 5 days. I went through the copy and tried to remove anything even slightly subjective. The prod tag remains. I have started up a discussion page for the article to explain my mistakes. The prod tag remains. I have been told all over the place in FAQs/tutorial pages that I can remove the prod tag myself, but NOWHERE do can I find any info on HOW to remove a prod tag. I don't see it in code on the page. Is there a tab or button somewhere that I'm missing? Question #2: I am trying to include the choir's logo in the article. Although a non-free image, this is the choir's logo and they permit downloading of the logo for publicity use from their own website. I have corrected the image page to include a rationale for its use and uploaded it to Wikipedia Commons, but don't know what steps I have to take from there to actually make the image show up in the article. I'm NOT stupid, I'm really not! Vivo4 (talk) 23:16, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

I'll try this again...

Thanks for the help but could you re-word it?

Thanks for your response to my help request. I'm afraid it makes no sense to me though - seems like there are some words missing somewhere. Would you mind coming back to my talk page to clarify?--Opark 77 (talk) 23:12, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

?

I found your scret page and signed it. Do I get a barnstar? Also, since I'm guessing you like legos like I do, I suggest you should get the lego userbox. If you can't find it, steal it off my page.--Juthani1 (talk) 03:52, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

I can understand mistaking the lengthy edits I've made to the article for vandalism and I appreciate your removing the warning from my talk page. I would greatly appreciate if you would also go back to the article and revert your reversion with an edit summary that indicates it wasn't vandalism by me so that it doesn't appear I just came back and duplicated vandalism. Thank you. Wildhartlivie (talk) 23:29, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you... you didn't have to say you were stupid!! That was a lot of keystrokes that I removed, and I can certainly understand why it would look like vandalism, though that's not much my style. Thanks again. Wildhartlivie (talk) 23:41, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you!

Thank you for your support in my RFA. The passed with a final count of (73/3/1), so I am now an administrator. Please let me know if at any stage you need help, or if you have comments on how I am doing as an admin. Have a nice day! :) Aleta Sing 18:45, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, LegoKontribsTalkM. As you have not opted out of updates to Microchip 08's secret page, here's an update. I have now extended it by two clues: feel free to have a go. I'm also interested in any comments or ideas you have for the next extension, so please help me expand it!
Thanks in advance,

The list of participants of the Pokémon WikiProject is quite sizable, however, there is no way to determine which of whom are active contributors to that project.
