ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:16, 23 November 2021 (UTC)

Legobot issues

Hi Legoktm, in two recent edits ([7] and [8]) Legobot created working templates while updating the index, which I don't think its supposed to do. Could you look into that? -- Asartea Talk | Contribs 08:26, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

It's also creating edit requests on archiveindex pages, i.e. Talk:American_Revolution/Archive_index#editsemiprotected, Talk:Steve_Jobs/Archive_index#editsemiprotected, Talk:Mexican–American_War/Archive_index#editsemiprotected, and several others. I'm hesitant to remove or close the edit requests in case there's an issue with upsetting the bot's machine spirit. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:44, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
There's also some CSDs it opened. I assume the bot realizes it's almost a holiday and wants to create a mess for people to clean up when they should be brining their turkeys and cutting turnips. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:57, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
(Non-bot operator comment) I also ran into this earlier, and I think I’ve identified the reason why it’s happening. I’ve explained here. GMX(on the go!) 17:17, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
Ah-ha. Thanks for the info. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 17:38, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
Sorry for the mess everyone, I'll look into this now. Legoktm (talk) 18:25, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
