Response[edit]

First — please read template:Whydidyoudothat, my usual answer to your question.

Second — I note that some of your references are to other Wikipedia articles. That's bad. Never base a statement on Wikipedia to another statement on Wikipedia.

Third — I note "Details provided by Wilhelm Kiesselbach". As in, you spoke to Mr Kiesselbach yourself and got this information? DS (talk) 12:00, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm Nick, and DS has asked me to follow up as he's not able to reply to you as quickly as he would like, and he doesn't want you thinking he's ignoring you.
Whilst you can't use other Wikipedia articles as references for you Wikipedia article, you can look at the references they use and provided you can access them and verify the content, you can use those same references. If they're online, just copy and paste the content. If you see a reference to a book and you don't have the book yourself, there's the usual ways of viewing it - local library, Google Books or Project Gutenberg will prove useful. You may even find additional information this way which will further enhance your article.
The details provided by Wilhelm Kiesselbach is a problem, Wikipedia requires articles to be built around information that anybody can obtain, verify and incorporate into their own work. That means we can't, sadly, make use of first hand accounts relayed via e-mail but that information can be used in a clever way, it's far from useless. The information you can obtain directly can still be incorporated into the article, you just need to find additional sources to confirm the accounts, similarly, you can use the information the subject provides you with to help you find reliable sources - books, government records and other websites.
If you need further help with this, don't hesitate you ask me or DS. Nick (talk) 16:33, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's all right to have lengthy questions, but please don't e-mail them to me, because I don't answer e-mails in e-mails. If you post them publicly, other people can see and help answer. Okay? DS (talk) 11:39, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Further clarification[edit]

user:DragonflySixtyseven is my userpage. Sometimes, people would leave messages for me there by mistake. That is not where messages should go.

user talk:DragonflySixtyseven is my talk page. That is where users are supposed to leave messages for me.

At the top of each talk page, you will see an option that says "New section". Click on that, and you will be presented with an edit window in which you can leave a message. That is where you leave your message. Okay?

As for Mr. K being a private person - in that case, should you really be citing him? DS (talk) 14:41, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 30[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Heinz von Westernhagen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 9th Army. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
