Proposed merger of several of your articles.

I will go ahead and try to be a little more respectful of your talk page this time, so I'll simply list the pages to be discussed here. Should the discussion happen on the page for each article, or is there a more centralized place where it should take place? Jm (talk | contribs) 21:56, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

@Jsharpminor: A way to go about this is to initiate a merge discussion at your proposed merge target at Talk:Bach Ice Shelf, as you stated at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Landy Ice Rises, and then add a merge template such as the following atop each article you are looking to merge: {{Mergeto|Bach Ice Shelf|discuss=Talk:Bach Ice Shelf}} (et al. for each merge target talk page). This way readers will be aware of the merger discussion, and discussion will be centralized in one place. North America1000 22:05, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

@Northamerica1000: Here's the list as I had compiled it so far. As you can see, I wasn't proposing that everything be merged into the Bach Ice Shelf article. And I'm the last person who would ever claim to be an expert on Antartican geography; so Lemnaminor or others might even have better ideas. Perhaps I should start the discussion somewhere under WikiProject Antarctica? Jm (talk | contribs) 22:09, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

@Jsharpminor: Yes, I modified my comment above while you were typing the above. The best way of going about it is to create separate discussions at each merge target article talk page. Not many readers are likely to view the WikiProject Antarctica talk page, and it's only fair for readers to have fair notice. However, you can post a neutrally-worded notice there about matters. Autopatrolled granted

Hi Lemnaminor, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! — xaosflux Talk 14:46, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

Flora Antarctica

I responded on Talk:Flora Antarctica. Regards, Dwergenpaartje (talk) 15:36, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

I now proposed the article for deletion. Dwergenpaartje (talk) 11:09, 25 February 2016 (UTC)

Why would you do that, Dwergenpaartje? It is very clearly written, and it contains a great account of the expedition. Why not just remove that tag? I thought it was clearly inappropriate, and challenged the user who placed it. I also wanted to give you time to continue working on the article so did not touch it. Please withdraw your AfD nomination.--Lemnaminor (talk) 18:27, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
I did it out of spite. And because I wanted to get rid of the tag, and also wanted to forstal further tagging. Before, the same colleague confronted me with undercited and overlinked tags. I absolutely hate tags that target entire articles because they discredit them thoroughly. I think it is highly unlikely that many colleagues will support deletion. So, in short I want to force this issue. Thank you for your support and kind regards, Dwergenpaartje (talk) 15:15, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
