Welcome[edit]

Hello, Lib3rtine, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Please stop changing the main cat image. Cat_Outside has been in place for 9+ days. Instead please discuss any changes on the Talk page. The images on the cats article are regularly changes for vanity reasons. Changes without discussion will most likely be consiered vandalism. LinaMishima 18:23, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to User:LinaMishima[edit]

Hi, please use talk pages when trying to contact users, instead of editing their user pages. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo 20:31, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gogo Dodo! She was editing mine to contact me first. I thought this was a way of commuinicating. Lib3rtine 20:33, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was careful to edit your talk page, as the history logs clearly show. LinaMishima 20:52, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

Please do not edit the user pages of other contributors without their approval or consent. It may be seen as vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please visit the sandbox. LinaMishima 20:32, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please use my Talk page to discuss things with me. User pages themselves are for the user to edit, and unlike talk pages, they give no automatic reminders about new messages. LinaMishima 20:32, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FYI: note the difference[edit]

Instead of editing the User:User page, edit the User_talk:User page. If clicking the link of the user's name does not bring you to their talk page, hit the "discussion" tab at the top; it's usually the second from the left. Happy editing! - CobaltBlueTony 21:00, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images from Flickr[edit]

Hi. When uploading images from Flickr to Wikipedia, please double-check the licensing terms. There are several different kinds of Creative Commons licenses, and not all of them are compatible with use on Wikipedia. Specifically, some Creative Commons licenses permit non-commercial use only. Wikipedia's content is reproduced by several commercial sites, so non-commercial-only licenses aren't suitable. Several of the cat images you have uploaded from Flickr have this limitation, so they will be deleted from Wikipedia. We appreciate your help in finding good pictures for our articles, but we try to be very careful about copyrights. There are more details about images on Wikipedia at Wikipedia:Image use policy. Thanks, FreplySpang 21:02, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

American Shorthair[edit]

I have to say, your image is probably the better one to use for the main image. Nice photographing! I suspect some other editors may be wary about the ownership issue still, though. Perhaps take a photo an upload it that will prove the accounts are the same? LinaMishima 00:25, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
