Hi, just to let you know that when you upload an image like this one under the Non Free Use criteria you must add a rationale for each article it is used in. This time I've added a rationale for it's use in Big Ten Conference but if you decide to use it anywhere else, you must add another rationale. NtheP (talk) 19:58, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I was not aware of that additional requirement. LibertarianGuy (talk) 20:06, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's not obvious :-) NtheP (talk) 20:53, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Logos

[edit]

Hi, just want to warn you that the conference logos you are adding to the membership tables is likely going to be reverted. Copyrighted and trademarked logos are subject to relatively strict requirements and are generally not considered appropriate for tables. See WP:NFC, and specifically WP:NFG. Just so you know and don't waste too much more of your time. CrazyPaco (talk) 21:09, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Logos are used exactly the same way on the Southeastern Conference page. I see no difference. LibertarianGuy (talk) 21:13, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
They are all in violation of well established policy designed to protect Wikipedia. They will all be reverted at some point sooner than later. I'm not necessarily going to push the issue, I'm just warning you that they will all be reverted, including the SEC ones. CrazyPaco (talk) 21:15, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Maryland Terrapins alternate logo.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Maryland Terrapins alternate logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:33, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

FAU Stadium

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give GEO Group Stadium a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into FAU Stadium. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 04:15, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey ;-)

[edit]

I created a separate article for the website and have moved the infobox there. Thanks!--Hodgdon's secret garden (talk) 23:04, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever named the page The Blaze (web site), I don't know--but that page was its oldest link. ;-)--Hodgdon's secret garden (talk) 23:10, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

HAHA! Well anything you do to help will be great! I undertook this huge task of building all this TheBlaze pages, seeing as its really a brand new company! LibertarianGuy (talk) 23:45, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, LG! I can't locate sourcing for the dropping of Real News's full name at other than Sirius. Perhaps it's in the works but we gotta go by existing sourcing and no one has mentioned a planned drop of the fuller monicker in news reports(? at least inasfaras I've seen...) and current TheBlaze literature utilizes this fuller name. So keep your eyes peeled (for announcement of the change or the fuller form's being dropped from live online web pages and the like...) :~) --Hodgdon's secret garden (talk) 15:06, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dude I'm loving the work we're doing for TheBlaze and all of its subsidiaries. I am NOT in the business of creating enemies on Wikipedia - as we are all here to do edits for brands that we care about and do this for fun. However the sources you have cited do NOT list the brand of the hourly news updates on SiriusXM Patriot channel 125 as "Real News" because it is not so. The hourly updates are branded "TheBlaze Radio News" - as I put at the top of TheBlaze Radio Network page. Please see the quotation verbatim from the precise source you cited on the Real News Wikipedia page:

Glenn Beck’s multi-platform news, information, and opinion network, will also produce 24/7 hourly radio newscasts on SiriusXM Patriot, Ch. 125. You can hear hourly updates from “TheBlaze Radio News” beginning every hour of programming on SiriusXM Patriot, with anchors and reporters from around the nation providing news and information specifically targeted toward the SiriusXM Patriot listener. [Emphasis added] http://www.siriusxm.com/theblaze

Moreover, I think this is inappropriate page to even list radio information, as TheBlaze Radio Network has its own page. I think we can compromise and move the information on anchors Robyn and Amy over to the radio page. Is that good? LibertarianGuy (talk) 14:11, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
just sourced info can be contributed. The current, live, web pages for the program give the longer name cited. See Talk.--Hodgdon's secret garden (talk) 18:54, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Robyn is one and Amy the other, not both audio-only....--Hodgdon's secret garden (talk) 18:55, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File:Conference USA Locations 3.png

[edit]

I have a suggestion regarding your newly-created C-USA map of 2013 membership. It would be good if the map showed all of the full-member schools in the conference and not just the football ones. This can be done simply by adding a third color - red for Football East Division, blue for Football West Division, and, say, green or purple for Non-Football plotting ODU and UNC-Charlotte. (I would do it myself but don't have software up to the task.) Agricolae (talk) 16:56, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Noted. Will update that this week. Thank you for the suggestion! LibertarianGuy (talk) 00:54, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

With regards to your updated screenshot of that, it still appears with my version instead of yours as still seen on their Wikipedia articles appeared to it. Can you try to fix ASAP? 112.205.58.3 (talk) 05:41, 19 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Hello, LibertarianGuy! I have a question for you about Conference Locations maps... How do you create one? I was wanting to make one for the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, but wasn't sure how to. I didn't know if you created it from scratch or if there is a program for it. I don't know much about these kind of things... Thanks, CorkythehornetfanQuestion? 20:46, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Real News has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of third-party notability. A WP:BEFORE showed no RS coverage and little coverage even in less-reliable sources. Checking history for past versions shows primary-source coverage (as is present here) and some unreliable sources. Do independent third-party RSes exist documenting the show sufficiently to have a stand-alone article?

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
