Orphaned non-free image File:Iggy Azalea - Survive the Summer.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Iggy Azalea - Survive the Summer.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:29, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:14, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What is this about? It's not like I have the ability to get inside your head and know you're about replace Tidal with the album's liner notes. Quite honestly I don't think I deserve to be reverted and yelled at when I did nothing wrong by adding back the reference in good faith. Hayman30 (talk) 11:03, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Hayman30: I apologize if you think that way. I didn't say you're wrong or something, I just asked you to let me finish what I was doing then correct it if necessary. I reverted your edits to continue no more. And to clear the air, I was trying to complete the credits from the album's liner notes, because Tidal credits are partial. Sorry again. Lichtt (talk) 11:21, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's fine, but as I said, I didn't know/couldn't tell that you were about to do something, nor should you expect me to considering you didn't leave an edit summary. I just hope in future you can tell the editor nicely and not revert them, or you can leave an appropriate edit summary telling people that you're working on something. This actually reminds me of an IP I happened to encounter last year who has the same attitude as you, but no offense I'm just saying. Hayman30 (talk) 13:26, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Hayman30: You're right, I make edit summaries very rarely. I promise I will explain my edits where necessary from now on. Lichtt (talk) 13:43, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Summer (The Carters song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. Fails WP:NSONG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I can see that you are a fairly new editor, but you need to know that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Ganja Burns. I have removed the infringing text, but the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information from the source using your own words. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:05, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Cwmhiraeth: Thanks for the remark. I added the content from Billboard.com with no intention of copyright infringement. My only matter was to help develop the article. I thought adding copyrighted content that is sourced was not a copyvio. Looks like I have to learn more about it. Lichtt (talk) 10:47, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Dumb Blonde (song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Idolator (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Creating redirects

[edit]

Hi. When you create redirects, please make sure they are mentioned (and, if in doubt, are reliably sourced) at the target. The other day, you created two redirects to Miley Cyrus discography for her songs "Dream" and "Mother's Daughter", but they were not mentioned there. If these stay this way, they can be nominated for deletion at RfD. Not being mentioned at the target is a frequent reason for deletion, so please make sure they are mentioned/sourced at the target in the future per WP:V. Thanks. Image file on your draft of Megatron

[edit]

Hey, just found that you were working on a draft/material for "Megatron" in your sandbox and had a placeholder file name for the image. I hope you don't mind, but I removed the image from your sandbox, as now that Megatron (song) has become an article (I started a stub on your redirect, and another user copied over content they made at a draft) and the image has been uploaded, it's not considered fair use for cover artwork to be used in userspace (and it's only licensed for use on one article). Ss112 18:01, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ss112: There's no problem at all. That's just a file name after all. And thank you for starting the article. Lichtt (talk) 20:17, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
