Edward Mercado[edit]

I made another draft want to know if I can send it for evaluation. thank you Lider510 (talk) 22:14, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Making drafts by copying material is not allowed. I also had to remove your two premature and incorrect attempts to add Mercado to some lists of Puerto Ricans. People should have an article before being added to these lists. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 07:03, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Lider510! Your additions to Draft:Edward Mercado have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 17:10, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Adding onto what DanCherek says above, this is the third time you've created that draft by plagiarising from that source. If you readd it to the draft, I will seek a block to stop you from continuing. We cannot accept material copied from elsewhere under any circumstances.Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 19:13, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Be HONEST![edit]

Let’s be honest you just don’t want Mr. Mercado bio, short or long on Wikipedia (sometimes I wonder if you think you are the owner of the page) but your just people that because you can make a decision think you are the judge and the jury. Sorry life is not like this but you can have your mega arrogance but be secure that people will learn about the contribution of this great leader. Sorry to burst your bubble but leaders and there contribution only get bigger and bigger with time. I can find hundreds of example of bio of people that can not be verify you know that. One of you one time ask me how can I verify his date of birth, that’s the stupidity and irony you people have become. I included all the references and links, do you think does people that talk about him are not going to know that there information was used? Do you think I would lie and don’t give credit to the people that wrote anything about him. I hope you don’t get angry but I’m almost sure you will block me or take me out of the grand perfect encyclopedia. You treated me with disrespect and foul words and maybe you can’t sleep tonight with my words. I may not be an expert on the internet but I serve my country and I know what is leadership. Something that you won’t and care to learn reading or not letting people know about leaders and leadership. I don’t have hard feelings for all of you because Mr. Mercado over 50 years contributions is immensely and will live longer that any of you. Again thank you for your time, sorry to bother you so much. I know you’re very busy.

Yours Very Truly

Each and every draft has been plagiarised from the same PDF, which is why it keeps getting deleted. If it were just a matter of poor sourcing, it wouldn't be getting consistently deleted as a copyright violation. Funny you should mention birthdate, though - I seem to recall you were quite adamant that Jmcgnh and I were just having bad days and so someone else in a better mood will come along and give you the answer that would give you what you want - an answer which would never be forthcoming as you basically wanted us to ignore policies with legal considerations. We can't reasonably be expected to help someone who very plainly refuses to listen to any sort of valid criticism, doubly so if the consequence of ignoring that criticism is putting Wikipedia and/or yourself on the hook for copyright infringement. I will say it as clear as I can: WE CANNOT AND DO NOT ACCEPT MATERIAL THAT HAS BEEN OBVIOUSLY COPIED FROM ELSEWHERE.
I recommend you cut the "I know best" attitude, because as it sits the next copyright infringement you post is very likely going to be met with an indefinite block. Stop plagiarising the PDF, take a hard, honest look at your sources, and actually write an article from scratch while citing your sources for every claim which could potentially be challenged. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 00:22, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Did you or did the people working or volunteer used foul language and insulted me?
yes or no?
(Redacted)
the answer is YES plus there is more.
Again I told you that you where asking things that hundreds of bio don’t have.
you wanted everything quoted and ask what was the connection and if it was a promotion come on
be honest today. You don’t ask questions like that or insult people if you do again lack of leadership.
it’s obviously I’m not going to copyright other people but you my friend can’t lie you people insulted me and
you don’t have leadership. Lider510 (talk) 00:50, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a top-down organisation. We're volunteer editors and do not answer to a supervisor (and in fact, paid staff do not edit or make editorial decisions in that capacity outside specific situations). Respect goes both ways: Dismissing what we say out of hand for no good reason with "I think you are having a bad day" in hopes of getting a more manipulable helper is a very good way to annoy helpers. As is publicly posting logs (which is forbidden by channel policies on pretty much every Wikipedia IRC channel), which is why I have redacted the copypasta you added above. Again, jmcgnh and I tried to help you, and you blew us off well before things got to that point. We are not obligated to feign politeness when a helpee is belligerent or wilfully ignorant. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 00:55, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I’m not hear to give leadership classes the same way your not hear to make a bio of Mr. Mercado don’t bother we know who is the leader.
“Respect goes both ways:” now? Did I used foul language did I ask questions that are not appropriate?
I never ask anyone to make the bio and will never manipulate anyone. But maybe your the expert on this too.
This will be my last reply if you want you can closed my account do what ever you want with the Mr. Mercado información. But I’m not going to lose more time in an argument with people that will not admit they treated me bad and insulted with foul language. You people just read the conversation that day if you don’t think you people where arrogant and treated me bad that’s your answer of lake o leadership top to bottom or bottom up.
Have a great life. Lider510 (talk) 01:12, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, the reason the drafts kept getting deleted is because they were plagiarised. If you cannot understand why Wikipedia can't have content that's been stolen from somewhere else, then you are doing Mercado a grave disservice. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 01:20, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
