Welcome

Hello there fellow goon. Just to let you know, people prefer it if you sign comments using ~~~~ (4 tildes), as it links to your user-page. You can change the default output of the 4 tildes in preferences. Let me know if you have any other questions. (p.s. is SA down?) Trampled talk 17:23, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Can you please explain something to me?

Hi, I'm just curious as to why you keep adding Ultimate to what seems to be random user pages? I'd appreciate it if you would explain these actions to me on my talk page. It is rather confusing and I thank you so much. KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 05:34, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for answering me I again appreciate it. Cheers KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 17:51, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

Why did you add Clackamas High School to Category:Schools established in the 20th century? My aim is to make it a holding category. ςפקιДИτς 23:20, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

To the best of my knowledge, a holding category is a category that contains only subcategories, not articles. The reason I am making all these edits is that I want to change 20th century to a more descriptive term (decade). ςפקιДИτς 00:28, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

Emma Waston / Sex symbol

You are Liface!

Hey there, this is Foggy (I have no clue if you know me but whatever) from SA. I keep seeing your name pop up everywhere so I thought I'd say hi to a fellow goon who wastes time on Wikipedia. Know any others? Snurks T C 23:31, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

Goon goony goon my goony-goon goon goon [GOON GOONS]

I also have no clue if you know me or whatever, but fellow SA Wikipedian checking in. I wish there was a GFDL-licensed version of the SA grenade; I'd make a Wikigoons userbox. By the way, and I've been considering this for awhile, any interest in working on either Something Awful or Something Awful Forums with the goal of making it into a Featured Article? --keepsleeping sleeper cell 20:15, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

I got inspired and made one anyway: {{user goon}} --keepsleeping sleeper cell 20:51, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

CKY crew

Nice work with the amalgamation. Tough to pick who deserves their own page and who doesn't.

I made a cast page because a bunch of people who knew nothing about CKY were humming and hawing about whether Art Webb 1986 deserved his own page... thought i'd take an executive decision as a cky anorak...

Please adopt your state

I have now completed the transition from state list to articles on Scouting in each state, as per Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scouting/RulesStandards, for merger and improvement of articles. Please help fill in some blanks at Scouting in Oregon! Thanks, YiS, Chris 09:29, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

Scouting Barnstar - Where to put it?

I believe that the award that was created for the Scouting Barnstar should be a topical award. Scouting is a world-wide movement that has served youth in many countries for more than 100 years and represents the youth of the world at the United Nations.

It has been suggested that the award be given as a PUA. The first line on the PUA page reads, "This page provides a collection of awards created by individual Wikipedians." The Scouting Barnstar was created by the WikiProject Scouting.

Currently, the is a discussion going on at Wikipedia_talk:Barnstars#Removed_the_scouting_barnstar. Please comment there if you are interested.evrik

Cross Country Picture

Hey that picture you recently put up for Cross country running is great! Do you have any more pictures from that race or information about the race (results would be interesting).

It's from the Seaside 3-course challenge. There's virtually no information online about it. It's held every year and they bring in tons of water to form that big puddle that you see there. results from 2005 --Liface 03:31, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

facebook

I kinda foolishly started over the facebook voting debate at Talk:Facebook_(website)#Voting (because there were some comments like waffle iron's that weren't clear whether or not they were voting and for what). I have now realized that not everyone who commented before may have had it on their watchlist so I am sending this to anyone that commented earlier and has not yet (re)voted. Sorry. --L1AM 07:10, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Facebook exploit

Can you take a screenshot? I'm not seeing it. --L1AM (talk - 'tribs.) 04:01, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Looks like they just got wind of it and removed it. I wasn't able to capture a screenshot. I'll take it out of the article, as of now it's not notable enough to be included. --Liface 04:05, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
I beat you to it. However, a screenshot is since online. Apparently, the guy behind it is a Chris Putnam. He has written about the exploit and the response he recieved from Facebook's security division on his blog. According to him, it affected over 400 accounts. --L1AM (talk - 'tribs.) 08:20, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Judging by the attention this guys looking for, and his bragging about his 'feat' appearing on Wikipedia, it probably should not be added back. Let us never mention this again. --L1AM (talk - 'tribs.) 08:42, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Mike Carroll

Well, I think it should be mentioned that Mike Carroll is able to ride switch stance AND that he is one of the "official" inventors of the switch stance skating in the late 80`s and early 90`s. I know that seriously because I have been watching his career since 1988.

The revert was because:

  1. "Another original cast membership for her was in the role of Lily Ann Green" is extremely peculiar English.
  2. One doesn't work at stages. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 20:12, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Skateboarding

About the skating, I've been having a hard time getting really notable articles together for some skaters - Donny Barley, Jeremy Wray etc... I tend to err on the side of caution when people who might not pass WP:BIO are involved. Also, have you had any thought about turning this into a real WikiProject? Thats the way to get more people involved. Cheers Deizio 17:28, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Category:Frisbee

I noticed you removed several articles from Category:Frisbee. I named it so to match the fact that the main article is Frisbee and that flying disc is a redirect. Perhaps instead of that, a category rename is in order? I think that by WP:CAT, Frisbee (or any replacement category, such as "Flying disc sports") should cover that as well. There's a Category:Ultimate as well, which is an orphan right now. Your thoughts? --Christopherlin 23:58, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Okay. I'll put Category:Frisbee back where applicable, and put Category:Ultimate under that, pending a rename. --Christopherlin 00:15, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

I went to see who cleaned up my talk:skateboarding proposal, and it was none other than Liface himself! I'm a fellow goon and Ultimate player. Small world. Thank ya GreenRiot 00:15, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
