May 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm S0091. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

Also do not remove content that is sourced to reliable sources unless you can gain consensus through a discussion with other editors on the article's talk page. S0091 (talk) 19:05, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, S0091 (talk) 19:07, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Lightedsun7989. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted.

Hi Lightedsun7989, I responded to your message on my talk page so go there to read my response. Based on your comments, there is an article about you so please read the above guidelines. You should not edit the article directly but rather make edit requests as instructed above (there's also the handy WP:Edit Request Wizard you can use). I also strongly recommend reading Wikipedia's Biographies of living people policy if you not already familiar along with WP:FAQ/Article subjects. If there is content that blatantly violates the policy, you can report it at WP:BLPN as it is generally best to have other editors handle it. Just don't make legal threats or the like (see WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL) as that will likely lead to an immediate block. S0091 (talk) 15:43, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
