Microfinance articles[edit]

Well, start by creating the pages. If you want to create an article called "Microfinance in Panama", start editing Microfinance in Panama. Quickly looking over your article, I noticed that you don't have any wikilinks, which are useful, or a reference section (although you do have references). To create a reference section, just type create a new section called "References" and copy {{reflist}} into it.

Otherwise, I would suggest that you check out the links I posted above if you haven't already done so. They can be a big help. Any other questions, don't hesitate to post on my talk page. -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 00:53, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Interested in adoption ( well, wikiadoption:)!)[edit]

hello Eustress - I am working on some Country Topic Overviews on Microfinance issues (similar to already existing ones on things like Electricity, Water etc.) I am very interested in this topic and I hope to do a whole series of them for many countries - Right now, I am actually doing teh fisrt one, and I want to make it nice - and I really would be happy to get some help/ feedback on them and learn more about how to "make them" and how to transfer them then into the gerenal Wikipedia - So far I have started my first country topic overview on my userpage and I would be very happy on any comment etc!Lilahexe (talk) 22:15, 2 July 2008 (UTC) all the best and enjoy your vacation![reply]

I'd be happy to adopt you and help out with any articles (including those regarding microfinance), and good for you for requesting help before creating your first article. As you will notice on your user page, I moved the tentative article to a sandbox (which is just a place where you and others can work on stuff without it being prematurely deleted). Yours is located at User:Lilahexe/Sandbox--see WP:User page regarding what belongs on a user page.
Here are some initial things to work on regarding Microfinance in Panama, which I will lend a hand with by and by:
  1. Review WP:CITE (specifically WP:Cite web and WP:Cite book) to learn how to render citations properly on Wikipedia.
  2. Do you want this article specifically about Panama or about Central America? (I noticed you included several Central American countries in a table, and it might not be too much work to include all, but no big deal.)
  3. As noted by another editor above, include internal links (for example, Panama) are very helpful to readers and offer credibility to the article (only one internal link per pertinent topic is needed, however). You can even link to articles on Spanish wikipedia if they don't exist in English (see Help:Interlanguage links).
  4. Try not to repeat any general info stated in the article Microfinance--your article should deal with Panama specifically.
Anyway, those are a few things to get started on. I check back in later to see how you're doing. I am confident you will enjoy Wikipedia and hope you will contribute to many articles. Best wishes! --Eustress (talk) 19:56, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Due to inactivity, I have withdrawn your adoption status. If you become active again and would like further assistance, please consult WP:ADOPT.
