blatant vandal[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Billboard Hot 100, are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. - eo 03:10, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

deletion of all your images[edit]

OK, here's what's going to happen now. You clearly do not care about Wikipedia's policies on images, so I am going to ignore the polite policies we have in place to warn people if their images may not be in compliance. I am deleting all of your images immediately. I will delete any other images you upload that are not in full compliance with image use policies. (Image notifiers: Drop me a line if more pop up). If you continue to upload images without due consideration for the rights of the copyright holders and the site policies I will remove your editing privileges. You are free to contact me on my talk page if any of this is unclear or if you have any other questions. - BanyanTree 02:36, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the 29 notices for now-deleted images that were on this talk page in the interests of clarity. - BanyanTree 02:51, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:MethodManLive.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MethodManLive.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 05:27, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

how to revert vandalism[edit]

When you're cleaning up vandalism, like at Wu-Tang Clan where you found a bunch of words had suddenly changed to "proper" English, you can use the instructions at Help:Reverting to make your task much easier. coelacan — 00:58, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:MethodManLive.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MethodManLive.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:23, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:L 502f9c279faa549d93ddd7b6a673c6ab.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 20:41, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
