Orphaned non-free media (Image:Esandla.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Esandla.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. SR Continuity

Thanks for the heads up, I've deleted that entire section. Looking at these diffs here, You can see that one editor added that in one afternoon three days ago.were it not the holiday season, I have little doubt it would've been caught and pulling that day. I've removed it. It is thoroughly uncited and written like a forum posting, not encyclopedically, and it lacks sources and citation. SR, accordign to Singer's own words, followed 1 and 2. Until citation is provided to actively refute the director nad writer's own words, there's no better sources. ThuranX (talk) 23:56, 31 December 2007 (UTC)  Done - Finished

Superman Lives poster

Hi, the fact that you took a photo of the "Superman Lives"-poster doesn't change the copyright status of the subject matter of your photo, namely the poster itself. (By that logic, any image could be made copyright-free just by taking a photo of it). —Gabbe (talk) 22:46, 3 January 2008 (UTC)  Done - Finished

List of feature films released to Blu-ray Disc

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of feature films released to Blu-ray Disc, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of List of feature films released to Blu-ray Disc. Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Language class, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Beautifulgorgeous.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Beautifulgorgeous.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:50, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Adopt A User

Hello Lime. I'm new on Wikipedia and need someone to show me the ropes. I would like to start posting articles onto Wikipedia. I have just written an article on a famous british film director and award winning photographer. I have checked if his stub is available and it is. There is no article of him on Wikipedia. My article is a bit lengthy and am not too sure how to lay it out. It's got a lot of pictures. Will hear from you soonest.--Rubyen 19:04, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Adopt A User

Hello Lime. You were the first person to respond to my request for an Adopter so I shall go with you. Is it possible for me to send you a copy of my article so we can discuss the questions I have to ask? I would really appreciate it. Like I mentioned in my first message, the article has a lot of pictures because it's about an award winning photographer. it also has a lot of people worth linking to. Charlie Saatchi, Terrence Donovan,Chris Bonnington and Riddley Scott are just a few of the people this photographer and film director has worked with. Please let me know if I should send through the article. It's in Microsoft word format. Thanks Again. --Rubyen 13:24, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

hello

I have sent through the article without the pictures... I just have one quick question...

How many pictures can I insert into the article? The article currently consists 33 pictures...

Would I have to reduce the number of pictures? If so, to what number do I reduce them to?

Sorry that it's taken me so long to get back to you. I had to help Dad at work, then I got sick, then I had to help Aunt Frank (don't ask), this, that, the other thing. I've been a little sidetracked.

Anyway, the comics/books/movies that I know the most about already have large, okay-quality pages. I thought of making a page for the Alpha Lanterns, but that idea was shot down. I'd give you the link to the Alpha Lanterns, but ... I don't know how. The best I can do is give you a link to the page they're on.

Wow! You did all that to Superman films page! You're gooooooood! Herro440 (talk) 18:28, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I've attended your review of Pirates of the Caribbean (film series) - but I still have some doubts. What can be added to the Film section? (I'm mirroring two GAs in that section) Why complaints on "random stuff in the template"? What extra sources are needed in Future? Also, if there's anything else that needs work, add to the review. igordebraga 20:06, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for doing the GA Review for this article. In response to your review comments, I have: Added a fair-use image with fair-use rationale on the image page, added some additional references (and added 2 more to a Further reading section, until I can get access to them and incorporate those into the article), and reformatted the Cast section per your recommendation. Could you perhaps take another look at the article and reevaluate the GA Review? Thanks, Cirt (talk) 07:01, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

I see you failed the article as a GA, mentioning new points that you had not initially brought up in your GA Hold review. That's fine, and no hard feelings or anything, but it would have been helpful if those points had been raised earlier and if you had responded to my responses to your initial GA Hold review, I would have worked on those other points to try to improve the article further in the time allotted by the GA Hold. Cirt (talk) 22:08, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Also, re your new points at Talk:The_Secret_of_Treasure_Island#GA fail could you perhaps give some specifics to flesh out your general points on how to further improve the article to GA status? Cirt (talk) 22:09, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
If you could give any further help with the article/elaboration, it'd be much appreciated, due to the time that has passed since the serial was released, I have found it difficult to search for significant discussion in good sources. Cirt (talk) 22:15, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Kiki question

Could you show me a page with an awards table so I can know what to base the Kiki section off of? Thanks.--CyberGhostface (talk) 16:18, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Alright, I tried fixing the article. I think its ready for re-review.--CyberGhostface (talk) 16:57, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for passing it. :) --CyberGhostface (talk) 17:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Ma Mere

I wrote the article about "Ma Mere". What's wrong with its tone? LuisGomez111 (talk) 00:02, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of The Muppets' Wizard of Oz

The article The Muppets' Wizard of Oz you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold. It hasn't failed because it's basically a good article, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:The Muppets' Wizard of Oz for things needed to be addressed. Somno (talk) 06:19, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Could you please adopt me?

Hi, I'm Sofia Vladislava, but I sign as Sofia. I just got my Wikipedia account a few weeks before this was posted, and have only the thinnest idea of how to edit. Miraculously, I have managed to set up a decent userpage, which I would like you to check out for my interests, contributions, etc. (Yes, I have been a wikignome, contributing mainly in the shadows, fixing incorrect grammar, sentence phrasing, and generally cleaning up.) If you can adopt me, could you please leave a message on my talkpage? Thanks!!! :) Sofia (talk) 14:14, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Sofia

Coordinator election question

There is a proposal to extend the nomination period and your thoughts on the matter are requested. Thanks! Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 05:24, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

I don't think you have a problem with your nomination. I've a reservation on a nominee, but it is certainly not you!! Wildhartlivie (talk) 20:13, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
No, no. You've caused me no problems. I support everyone who is nominated except for one. I just noted in your response to the question of extending the nominations that you seemed a bit concerned that you might not be part if the nominations were extended. I just wanted to reassure you that I don't think that's a problem. Good luck with it. Wildhartlivie (talk) 20:42, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for adopting me! -Sofia V.

Hi, this is Sofia. Thanks so much for adopting me! I'm sorry I couldn't reply earlier; I was on Wikipedia but I had a huge history paper to write, so my time was devoted to desperate research about the French Revolution. I hope I'm not bothering you, but I have a few very dumb questions which answers I should definitely know. First, how do you insert an image into a page? I've seen some articles where an image would be great, and would love to know how to put one there. Second, how do you make bulleted and numbered lists? I've just been wondering how, because I've seen so many articles with them. Third, which Web browser would you reccomend for editing? I'm more comfortable with Safari, but I know Firefox has a couple of additional editing toolbars. Last, and this is purely aesthetic, how do you spice up a userpage? I've seen others with color and different fonts and other cool stuff, but if you look at mine it's so plain and dull. So how do you change your fonts and colors and get all the pretty stuff? I'm sorry for pretty much attacking you right away with my questions, and for the amount of them, but could you please answer them as soon as you can? Just leave a message on my talkpage. Again, sorry for any inconvienice. -With enormous gratitude, Sofia (talk) 01:05, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Sofia

Thanks for the inmage question answer!!!

I'm sorry you had to go. I probably should log off, too, because of that nasty paper I've been procrastinating on. But, anyway, thanks for the answer. I really needed it!! Also, please don't feel any rush in answering the others, because I probably won't be on until late tommorow night, again because of that paper. :(

Thanks again,

Yours Truly,

Sofia (talk) 02:32, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Sofia

Just wanted to say thanks for the answers!!!!! (And ask one question....)

Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for your help. I know how to do that stuff now. Your instructions were great and really easy to follow. I know it's a little soon, but, yes, I have another question. It's about admins; what is one, how do you become one, and what special powers do you have and what can you do if you are one? Feel no rush in getting back to me. I know that my question is practically an essay, and besides, the subject is definately not an immediate concern of mine. I was just curious about it.

P.S. Are you an admin? If not, do want to become one? Again, just curious.

P.P.S I do like your userpage. :)

I have closed this, per WP:SNOW, as having failed. Please look through the opposition, and work on areas you can improve for next time. Cheers, -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 20:41, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Awkward Apologies from Sofia

About your first posting- nothing to say but that I am very sorry for my misunderstanding. This is awkward.... About the second one: Yeah, something went wrong. After I realized my mistake, I was fixing the pronouns in what I wrote... and accidentally deleted it all and couldn't get it back. I ment to put it back on, with the necessary corrections, of course, but I had to work on a paper that I had procrastinated on and was due the next day. (My spring break just ended.) I fully intend to put it back on and nominate you, if it's still okay with you. Again, so sorry.... now I'm feeling really awkward.... And please leave a reply about what you want me to do. Sorry for the inconvienince and any offense....

P.S. I spell my name Sofia, not Sophia. Sorry if I am annoying you by correcting such a trivial thing; you have every right to be annoyed because of past events.

Hoping you forgive me,

Sofia (talk) 02:27, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Sofia

FAC

Just a quick note to let you know that we don't use the {{done}} template or other graphics at FAC. It REALLY bogs the page down if everyone uses them. YOu can put a indented done below the line or a bolded done after it to mark it, if you want. Ealdgyth - Talk 17:41, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
