Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, LisaMarieStudio, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Lisa Marie Thalhammer. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 16:19, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You really need to post at Talk:Lisa Marie Thalhammer. For one thing, your explanations are getting cut off by the limit of the edit summary field. For another, you've reverted one too many times. Please read WP:3RR and consider self-reverting. But you should be discussing and explaining to us. I hadn't seen the address error, for which I apologize. Yngvadottir (talk) 19:27, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —C.Fred (talk) 22:09, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • LisaMarie, that one stupid edit was made in April--I can't believe none of us saw that before; thank you for correcting it. I'm taking the opportunity on-wiki to address some of your criticism: obviously we are concerned here with the WP:BLP, which should protect you (but also other living people involved with the matter). C.Fred, I'm pinging you here since LisaMarieStudio notified ArbCom (Primefac, I'll throw your name in here as well), and I'm sure you noticed there are serious BLP violations in the history, including the one I just linked. We need to keep our eyes on it and protect it when necessary.

LisaMarie, your specific issue really needs to be addressed on the article talk page. What we're dealing with, as far as I can tell, is a difference in opinion on how something or other should be phrased, based on a reliable source--to make things clear, following WP:RS is mandatory here; that one piece by that blogger was not acceptable, but the article from DCist is. Primefac already pointed you to the talk page; please follow that advice. If need be this can be discussed on WP:BLPN as well (click on it and you'll see what it is). Thank you, Drmies (talk) 16:37, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
