Hello, Lisagracetaylor, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Hookson, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hookson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Please note

[edit]

There is no guarantee of an article on Wikipedia, nor is there a 'fair play' policy. Please see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. To have an article here, a company must be shown to pass our policy on company notability WP:CORP, with reliable independent sources WP:RS to prove it. You said, "Marketing students writing dissertations about digital, marketing and branding agencies often use Wikipedia to find such information, therefore it should be readily available rather than said student having to contact the agency directly." Wikipedia is not free web space or hosting WP:NOTWEBHOST. I would ask you to read WP:COI about editing subjects you are close to, and if you are employed by the company (as I would consider very likely), you should read WP:TOS as editing for pay or reward or as part of one's job MUST be declared. Please also note that Wikipedia is not a directory. There are plenty of placed (like LinkedIn and AboutUs) where company information can be posted. As this title has been deleted four times now, I should also warn you that when a title gets repeatedly posted without the article passing our policies, the title may be 'protected' from recreation. If that happens, you will have to convince an admin of the notability before the article can be posted. Also please be aware that articles do not 'belong' to their subjects. They are about subjects, and may be edited by anyone. Peridon (talk) 10:24, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay

[edit]

I've been away and off-line. You can create an article about Hookson - if you can show that they pass WP:CORP and also show that they have coverage in reliable independent sources WP:RS. You must also not fall foul of WP:SPAM. Please remember that of all the companies in the world, only a small fraction get Wikipedia articles. Please also be aware that other people can edit the article, and that you cannot keep out information that is not to the taste of the company (so long as it is reliably referenced). Your last attempt was factual, but failed to show any notability and the referencing was rather minimal - only telling that the company was being set up (and a bit like a press release in character). Mere existence is not enough. If you try again, I suggest you do it at User:Lisagracetaylor/DRAFT (click that link and save it) and ask for advice. The editors MelanieN and Ritchie333 are admins and especially good at helping to build articles. Peridon (talk) 08:56, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
