Maharishi Mahesh Yogi / Michael Freedman

I see that you deleted the last talk. The listings you have for 'the Beatles' and the 'Beach Boys' are not spiritual teachers, but pop stars. Michael Freedman while not internationally recognize to the level of the Beatles etc.. is a major figure in New Zealand alternative spirituality. He was a disciple of Yogi, which some Australian newspaper links have been provided. He has a section of Prof Ellwood research book Islands of the Dawn, alternative spirituality in NZ and is also within Prof Donovan's Beliefs practices in New Zealand (Massey University study) and also Michael Howards' Modern Wicca and is mentioned in other publications. He founded the TM Research Foundation in NZ, with the cooperation of Professors from the University of Auckland School of Medicine and was well known amongst medical practitioners in this country. All this information is available publicly. Can you say the same thing about the Beatles or the Beach Boys. what verifiable disciples of Yogi have made an international or national influence in terms of Yogi teachings and methods.. very few. The Beatles and Beach Boys are not of these disciples. No doubt you will delete this posting either for whatever reason.. I can only speculate that you have little interest in providing unbiased encyclopedia context of persons whom are not internationally famous rock stars!. IMO you are doing Yogi and his most successful spiritual disciples a great disservice when you don't include notable characters that were trained and initiated by him and have made a large contribution even if only nationally - very few persons can compare to the Beatles pop group and they are not even spiritual teachers.. Other than Ravi Shankar who can you tell has any real legacy to Yogi. Michael Corbold is one other such person. - Lenny

Hi Lenny. I removed the edit you made to the article not the talk page. I suggest you post a cmt on the MMY article talk page if you want discussion on this topic and the edit you made. Others may agree with you even I don't. This is the way Wikipedia works. If you don't agree discuss it and see what others have to say. Get consensus for the addition you want to make There are many people who have been affected in one way or the other by MMY. However, we always fall back on the mainstream sources to determine who should be included and in that way we know that the three groups/people included now are heavily represented perhaps more so than anyone else in the sources. We can't include everyone and so we have to maintain a bar for inclusion in terms of sources. The bar is set not in terms of who is more spiritual- a subjective value judgment- but just in the number of reliable sources in the mainstream. We have an assume good faith behavour guide. This means try and understand that other editors are acting in as fair and honest way as they can and sometimes with more experience than you might have. WP has an article [1] that lists those who have been initiated into TM. If well sourced, (check out WP:RS and WP:VERIFIABLE) you might want to add Michael Corbold there. As a note, always sign a cmt with 4 tildes inside brackets which will give your name and the time stamp for your cmt. You might consider creating a user name, as well. (Littleolive oil (talk) 03:39, 30 April 2017 (UTC))
Thank you Littleolive. Firstly i apologize for my earlier tone. I was being defensive, as believed you were deliberately being unfair and additionally had rather a lousy day with rather extreme personal events going on, a flu-cold and only a few hours previous night sleep! Additionally my experiences in the past with Wiki have been poor, even with references provided, it seems that there is little control of context and persons deleting things that don't fit into political or religious viewpoints. No excuse I know and I should of done better. I tried to add to the TM list of persons initiated in TM. But can't work it out. Much too complicated for me and previews just comes up as a mess! Can you please be so kind as to do it for me. The TM references are: [1] [2] and the Wiki link to Michael's name is [3] for Michel Corbold, TM meditation teacher, occultist. FYI Michael avoided the public eye, and thus it has been difficult to discover references. Thank you once again for your patience and understanding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.109.208.248 (talk) 07:09, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
I'll take a look at this later today.(Littleolive oil (talk) 18:08, 1 May 2017 (UTC))
Lenny. In looking at the List of People Who Have Learned TM, I see that all those added to the list are blue linked which means they have Wikipedia articles. Michael does not have a WP article so it looks as if he shouldn't be added to the list. There seems to be consensus to add only those who have Wikipedia articles and we'd need agreement or consensus to overturn that consensus for this one person. You could try writing an article but your sources that indicate WP:NOTABILITY would likely be inadequate and in that case the article could be deleted. It might be enough to have a section on Michael in another article as is here. The effort with a good possibility of failure given how WP works may not be worth more than that section. I'm sorry. I wish I had better news.(Littleolive oil (talk) 05:01, 2 May 2017 (UTC))
Since Freedman was active in another/other spiritual / magical groups you may be able to write an article on him with sources beyond his TM connections. That article might have better sources and a chance of sustaining deletion scrutiny.(Littleolive oil (talk) 05:08, 2 May 2017 (UTC))
thank you LittleOlive for looking into this. I don't have the skills to produce such an article and also a conflict of interest, given that Michel was a personal friend. Perhaps some researcher in the future can do it, maybe, hopefully our talk comments will assist (if any) such an academic. I completely understand your flawless logic and your resulting decision. Goodbye and thank you once again for your attention into this matter. - Lenny

Respect

A note of appreciation for your views expressed at "Paid-contribution disclosure". I believe that the current tolerance for treating editors with disrespect is an illness in the community and has motivated too many great editors to walk away. So thanks for your leadership speaking out on the importance of respect between editors! Dougmcdonell (talk) 23:07, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

I think it can difficult for people to remember there is a living human being behind the WP name. We've probably all been in situations where the person we are dealing with is doing something we don't like or perhaps they are even trying to harm us sometimes deliberately. I'm not saying its easy to be civil and its not easy to enforce civility, but a community that works well in a collaborative sense has to respect the people who are part of that community or we poison our own drinking water. I have seen a process before that deliberately sets up editors for sanctions. It is , in my mind, unconscionable.I think there can be an end justifies the means mentality. Guild of Copy Editors December 2017 News

Guild of Copy Editors December 2017 News

Hello copy editors! Welcome to the December 2017 GOCE newsletter, which contains nine months(!) of updates. The Guild has been busy and successful; your diligent efforts in 2017 has brought the backlog of articles requiring copy edit to below 1,000 articles for the first time. Thanks to all editors who have contributed their time and energy to help make this happen.

Our copy-editing drives (month-long backlog-reduction drives held in odd-numbered months) and blitzes (week-long themed editing in even-numbered months) have been very successful this year.

March drive: We set out to remove April, May, and June 2016 from our backlog and all February 2017 Requests (a total of 304 articles). By the end of the month, all but 22 of these articles were cleared. Officially, of the 28 who signed up, 22 editors recorded 257 copy edits (439,952 words). (These numbers do not always make sense when you compare them to the overall reduction in the backlog, because not all editors record every copy edit on the drive page.)

April blitz: This one-week copy-editing blitz ran from 16 through 22 April; the theme was Requests. Of the 15 who signed up, 9 editors completed 43 articles (81,822 words).

May drive: The goals were to remove July, August, and September 2016 from the backlog and to complete all March 2017 Requests (a total of 300 articles). By the end of the month, we had reduced our overall backlog to an all-time low of 1,388 articles. Of the 28 who signed up, 17 editors completed 187 articles (321,810 words).

June blitz: This one-week copy-editing blitz ran from 18 through 24 June; the theme was Requests. Of the 16 who signed up, 9 editors completed 28 copy edits (117,089 words).

2017 Coordinator elections: In June, coordinators for the second half of 2017 were elected. Jonesey95 moved back into the lead coordinator position, with Miniapolis stepping down to remain as coordinator; Tdslk and Corinne returned as coordinators, and Keira1996 rejoined after an extended absence. Thanks to all who participated!

July drive: We set out to remove August, September, October, and November 2016 from the backlog and to complete all May and June 2017 Requests (a total of 242 articles). The drive was an enormous success, and the target was nearly achieved within three weeks, so that December 2016 was added to the "old articles" list used as a goal for the drive. By the end of the month, only three articles from 2016 remained, and for the second drive in a row, the backlog was reduced to a new all-time low, this time to 1,363 articles. Of the 33 who signed up, 21 editors completed 337 articles (556,482 words).

August blitz: This one-week copy-editing blitz ran from 20 through 26 August; the theme was biographical articles tagged for copy editing for more than six months (47 articles). Of the 13 who signed up, 11 editors completed 38 copy edits (42,589 words).

September drive: The goals were to remove January, February, and March 2017 from the backlog and to complete all August 2017 Requests (a total of 338 articles). Of the 19 who signed up, 14 editors completed 121 copy edits (267,227 words).

October blitz: This one-week copy-editing blitz ran from 22 through 28 October; the theme was Requests. Of the 14 who signed up, 8 editors completed 20 articles (55,642 words).

November drive: We set out again to remove January, February, and March 2017 from the backlog and to complete all October 2017 Requests (a total of 207 articles). By the end of the month, these goals were reached and the backlog shrank to its lowest total ever, 997 articles, the first time it had fallen under one thousand (click on the graph above to see this amazing feat in graphical form). It was also the first time that the oldest copy-edit tag was less than eight months old. Of the 25 who signed up, 16 editors completed 159 articles (285,929 words).

2018 Coordinator elections: Voting is open for the election of coordinators for the first half of 2018. Please visit the election page to vote between now and December 31 at 23:59 (UTC). Thanks for participating!

Housekeeping note: We do not send a newsletter before (or after) every drive or blitz. To have a better chance of knowing when the next event will start, add the GOCE's message box to your watchlist.

Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators: Jonesey95, Miniapolis, Corinne, Tdslk, and Keira1996.

Edit war warning

You are edit warring on a template, for pete's sake.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Template:Connected contributor shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Jytdog (talk) 21:35, 21 January 2018 (UTC)

Jytdog you are too funny. You began the revert and continue to revert, in fact, are at three, yet here you are. You have been warned about disrupting a discussion instead of peacefully engaging the other two editors and yet, you trot over here. I seldom revert more than once, but in this case did revert again because of your continued attacks on another editor. Of all the disruption you are creating your unfair comments about another editor are the most unfortunate. You might want to reconsider.(Littleolive oil (talk) 21:47, 21 January 2018 (UTC)_

Parkour in Gymnastics article

    • Moved to article talk page

Hey, so as I clearly mentioned in my addition I realize the move is controversial but I showed two sources that show the FIG is incorporating Parkour as a gymsport. Was there something else I should have done? I hope you can see rom my past edits to the page I care about gymnastics. I personally don't agree with Parkour being a gymsport but the FIG outranks me in every significant way. And if you care about gymnastics I'm sure you know abut the FIG. I'm assuming good faith and asking what I can do to improve my edits. Thank you :) -Rainbowofpeace (talk) 00:20, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

You edits are not sourced and are also added to a section that is not about Parkour. You must have sources especially if content is challenged. In this case if you can source to FIG that would an acceptable source for the first competition in Parkour but I would also add any newspaper articles about parkour at the Olympics. I would also check out WP:RS and WP:V for an understanding of how Wikipedia asks that content be added. Best.(Littleolive oil (talk) 02:01, 4 February 2018 (UTC))
http://www.fig-gymnastics.com/site/page/view?id=933 and http://www.fig-gymnastics.com/site/rules/disciplines/pk are directly from the FIG showing the rules and the history of the sport and its involement with the FIG. Along with that http://www.fig-gymnastics.com/site/figNews/view?id=1970 and http://www.fig-gymnastics.com/site/figNews/view?id=1980 are press releases and news on the subject within the FIG. The FIG has held one world cup tournament so far and you can see from the sources they are holding three in 2018, another three in 2019 and the first World Championships in 2020. They are also trying to get Parkour as a gymnastics sport for the 2024 Olympics in Tokyo. My first two sources were actually completely included in the edits I made. All of these sources come directly from the FIG which I believe is the highest body for most forms of gymnastics. wrong Chopra

I'm not sure wht you mean by "wrong Chopra". What I replaced was a disambiguation hatnote called {{other uses}}. There is only one other use, namely Deepak Chopra (Canada Post). The disambiguation guidelines suggest that where there is ony one other possible page, to send the reader there, rather than to a disambiguation page. See Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Hatnotes which suggests one of three possible hatnote templates in such a case. Unless you object, I will restore the hatnote. Let me know here if you would prefer the longer {{About}} style hatnote rather than the shorter {{For}}. --Bejnar (talk) 14:33, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

Invitation to WikiProject Portals

The Portals WikiProject has been rebooted.

You are invited to join, and participate in the effort to revitalize and improve the Portal system and all the portals in it.

There are sections on the WikiProject page dedicated to tasks (including WikiGnome tasks too), and areas on the talk page for discussing the improvement and automation of the various features of portals.

Many complaints have been lodged in the RfC to delete all portals, pointing out their various problems. They say that many portals are not maintained, or have fallen out of date, are useless, etc. Many of the !votes indicate that the editors who posted them simply don't believe in the potential of portals anymore.

It's time to change all that. Let's give them reasons to believe in portals, by revitalizing them.

The best response to a deletion nomination is to fix the page that was nominated. The further underway the effort is to improve portals by the time the RfC has run its course, the more of the reasons against portals will no longer apply. RfCs typically run 30 days. There are 19 days left in this one. Let's see how many portals we can update and improve before the RfC is closed, and beyond.

A healthy WikiProject dedicated to supporting and maintaining portals may be the strongest argument of all not to delete.

We may even surprise ourselves and exceed all expectations. Who knows what we will be able to accomplish in what may become the biggest Wikicollaboration in years.

Let's do this.

See ya at the WikiProject!

Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   10:22, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

Oh gosh, well, I'm happy to help... I think any of us can forget how long it took to learn how Wikipedia works and even then there are so many areas to become knowledgeable about. I am pretty good in some areas and much less so in others, to say the least. And learning on Wikipedia requires hands on experience - its hard to learn just by reading - and hands on takes time. There are no shortcuts. Anyway thanks so much for your cmt here.(Littleolive oil (talk) 19:42, 10 May 2018 (UTC))

Thank you

Hello, I've just popped by to say thank you for the kind comments at my latest AE appeal a few days ago, and want to offer you a clean slate upon which to work in the future. I will be the first to admit that we have had our heated exchanges on more than one occasion, but thankfully, they have all been limited to infobox discussions. As far as I know, we have not had any crossed words away from this subject. FWIW, I have always secretly respected you for your contributions, and especially the resilient and commendable way in which you carried on in light of the deplorable way in which you were treated early on in your editing career (I didn't know this until the other day). This may seem like a fake show of admiration in receipt of your supportive comment at the appeal, but I want to assure you that it's not. Your comment only confirmed to me what I suspected all along; that although you are fundemantally at odds with me in terms of our views on the box issue, you seemed like a nice person, but that I was too pig-headed to say so. Thank you for all you do, and here's to the future. CassiantoTalk 19:47, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

I like to think that those of us who are supposedly pig-headed should be labelled as tenacious instead. Much nicer ring to it. Thank you for you kind words here. Wikipedia has to be fair to and for everyone and it not always is. I know what it feels like to be treated unfairly and I just don't want anyone else to have to experience what I did.(Littleolive oil (talk) 07:51, 24 May 2018 (UTC))

Thank you very much

The RfC discussion to eliminate portals was closed May 12, with the statement "There exists a strong consensus against deleting or even deprecating portals at this time." This was made possible because you and others came to the rescue. Thank you for speaking up.

By the way, the current issue of the Signpost features an article with interviews about the RfC and the Portals WikiProject.

I'd also like to let you know that the Portals WikiProject is working hard to make sure your support of portals was not in vain. Toward that end, we have been working diligently to innovate portals, while building, updating, upgrading, and maintaining them. The project has grown to 80 members so far, and has become a beehive of activity.

Our two main goals at this time are to automate portals (in terms of refreshing, rotating, and selecting content), and to develop a one-page model in order to make obsolete and eliminate most of the 150,000 subpages from the portal namespace by migrating their functions to the portal base pages, using technologies such as selective transclusion. Please feel free to join in on any of the many threads of development at the WikiProject's talk page, or just stop by to see how we are doing. If you have any questions about portals or portal development, that is the best place to ask them.

If you would like to keep abreast of developments on portals, keep in mind that the project's members receive updates on their talk pages. The updates are also posted here, for your convenience.

Again, we can't thank you enough for your support of portals, and we hope to make you proud of your decision. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   10:18, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

June 2018 GOCE newsletter

Guild of Copy Editors June 2018 News

Welcome to the June 2018 GOCE newsletter, in which you will find Guild updates since the February edition. Progress continues to be made on the copyediting backlog, which has been reduced to 7 months and reached a new all-time low. Requests continue to be handled efficiently this year, with 272 completed by the end of May (an average completion time of 10.5 days). Fewer than 10% of these waited longer than 20 days, and the longest wait time was 29 days.

Wikipedia in general, and the Guild in particular, experienced a deep loss with the death on 20 March of Corinne. Corinne (a GOCE coordinator since 1 July 2016) was a tireless aide on the requests page, and her peerless copyediting is a part of innumerable GAs and FAs. Her good cheer, courtesy and tact are very much missed.

March drive: The goal was to remove June, July and August 2017 from our backlog and all February 2018 Requests (a total of 219 articles). This drive was an outstanding success, and by the end of the month all but eight of these articles were cleared. Of the 33 editors who signed up, 19 recorded 277 copy edits (425,758 words).

April blitz: This one-week copy-editing blitz ran from 15 through 21 April, focusing on Requests and the last eight articles tagged in August 2017. At the end of the week there were only 17 pending requests, with none older than 17 days. Of the nine editors who signed up, eight editors completed 22 copy edits (62,412 words).

May drive: We set out to remove September, October and November 2017 from our backlog and all April 2018 Requests (a total of 298 articles). There was great success this month with the backlog more than halved from 1,449 articles at the beginning of the month to a record low of 716 articles. Officially, of the 20 who signed up, 15 editors recorded 151 copy edits (248,813 words).

Coordinator elections: It's election time again. Nominations for Guild coordinators (who will serve a six-month term for the second half of 2018) have begun, and will close at 23:59 UTC on 15 June. All Wikipedia editors in good standing are eligible, and self-nominations are encouraged. Voting will take place between 00:01 UTC on 16 June and 23:59 UTC on 30 June.

June blitz: Stay tuned for this one-week copy-editing blitz, which will take place in mid-June.

Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators: Corinne, Jonesey95, Miniapolis, Reidgreg and Tdslk.

Edit war warning-removed by user page editor

  • Oh Jytdog for heaven's sake. You reverted me...YOU BEGAN EDIT WARRING... and I reverted to adjust to your comments on the source-to be able to repair the content. One at least, of the sources does comment on protoscience and transcience. I don't have the first source so cannot affirm whether the content is accurate or not per that source. Unless you have that source your edit summary may be false. You also could have adjusted the stable content in the article so slightly to make the source accurate but instead you reverted and decided to edit war. I am an experienced editor and my edits were logical and an attempt to create accuracy in the stable version of this article so this tag is an attempt to harass and you know it. Too bad.(Littleolive oil (talk) 13:44, 2 November 2018 (UTC))
Jytdog After checking the reverts on the page, this is a false edit warring notification and can lead to you being blocked yourself. Per [WP:3RR] he had to make 3 reverts in 24 hours, he made 2. For the both of you, discuss the changes on the talk page, not bicker in edit summaries. Kb03 (talk) 13:52, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
    • Kb03 Thanks for your comment. I actually am somewhat insulted at being told I am bickering. My edits were only meant to comply with Jytdog's concerns about the sources. I could have either edited into the article or reverted and then repaired the content. Either way the action is a revert so I made the choice given I was attempting to comply with the concerns to just revert and then clean up the content. I won't pursue this further. Jytdog can do what he wants with the content; I don't care enough about this to get into a fuss with him. Thank you for your comment here, though. Best wishes.(Littleolive oil (talk) 14:03, 2 November 2018 (UTC))

Offsite links

I read your comments on the ArbCom case request; you bring up an important point. I have asked a few of the ArbCom candidates their thoughts on it. 28bytes (talk) 17:35, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

Oh good! Seems to me we have to respect our anonymity guides. Especially in an election situation, where links can have either a positive or negative effect on the candidates, we have to exercise care. Just because this wasn't "outing" doesn't mean we have the right to air other people's off wikipedia lives unless we have proof that there is some danger to someone. This wasn't the case here; what I saw was deliberate attempt to open a closed door. To be honest, the answer to your question might be a pretty good indicator of good judgement and true neutrality in a candidate. Littleolive oil (talk) 19:30, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Littleolive oil. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

March GOCE newsletter

Guild of Copy Editors March 2019 Newsletter

Hello and welcome to the March newsletter, a brief update of Guild activities since December 2018. All being well, we're planning to issue these quarterly in 2019, balancing the need to communicate widely with the avoidance of filling up talk pages. Don't forget you can unsubscribe at any time; see below.

January Drive: Thanks to everyone for the splendid work in January's Backlog Elimination Drive. We removed copyedit tags from all of the articles tagged in our original target months of June, July and August 2018, and by 24 January we ran out of articles. After adding September, we finished the month with 8 target articles remaining and 842 left in the backlog. GOCE copyeditors also completed 48 requests for copyedit in January. Of the 31 people who signed up for this drive, 24 copyedited at least one article. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

Blitz: Thanks to everyone who participated in the February Blitz. Of the 15 people who signed up, 13 copyedited at least one article. Participants claimed 32 copyedits, including 15 requests. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

Progress report: As of 23:39, 18 March 2019 (UTC), GOCE copyeditors have completed 108 requests since 1 January and the backlog stands at 851 articles.

March Drive: The month-long March drive is now underway; the target months are October and November 2018. Awards will be given to everyone who copyedits at least one article from the backlog. Sign up here!

Election reminder: It may only be March but don't forget our mid-year Election of Coordinators opens for nominations on 1 June. Coordinators normally serve a six-month term and are elected on an approval basis. Self-nominations are welcome. If you've thought of helping out at the Guild, or know of another editor who would make a good coordinator, please consider standing for election or nominating them here.

Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators Miniapolis, Baffle gab1978, Jonesey95, Reidgreg and Tdslk.

"before"

Re [2]: I was the one who wrote this. Your edit seems equivalent to me to what I'd written, but your edit comment seems to imply it was POV. Could you explain the difference? Curly "JFC" Turkey 🍁 ¡gobble! 04:04, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

The syntax makes it sound as if Trudeau moved the AG as a direct result of the affair, which is debated. I went to that article last night and just want to tear my hair out. For example, the whole first and very long first section is coat rack content. We can give some background but in this case the article is heavily weighted with the history of the SNC-Lavalin bribery case which sets a tone for the entire article. It's just not Wikipedia style. I was of course reverted immediately for very small changes which improve neutrality but a group of editors will not let that kind of language stand and are exerting ownership on the article. The word scandal suggests quite explicitly wrong doing which slants the article in the very first line. There is a group of very good writers with very few edits, who are for the most part SPA who are controlling this article; we couldn't even discuss a controversial section without an editor greatly expanding the section while under discussion. I cannot, for my own health and also limited time get into a fight with these editors, but let's just say I have become very aware that a Canadian election is upcoming. I did intend to take this to a NB but saw that NB was backed up badly. There are some very subtle BLP issues on this article which are a concern. Anyway, I just can't get into this kind of dog fight with these people. I'm sorry I left you alone at AN/I. I don't have the stomach anymore for this kind of stuff. Littleolive oil (talk) 15:01, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
Sorry—what's NB? WP:NB redirects to Wikipedia:Notability (books). Curly "JFC" Turkey 🍁 ¡gobble! 21:28, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
Hmmm ... it turns it I wasn't the one who wrote "before"—I'd written "and". I didn't notice the change. Curly "JFC" Turkey 🍁 ¡gobble! 22:44, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
    • NB=Notice Board
  • We do have a fundamental problem with this article.

Wikipedia is not a news source. This article is based on an ongoing controversy and is supported by sources referenced to the ongoing articles in the press. The press sells papers based on contention and controversy, so Trudeau, a somewhat controversial leader these days, if seen as guilty in this alleged, compromised position sells a great story. This is the thing. We have created this very long independent article on one incident in the life of an individual; he has been accused but not convicted if you will and never can be, given both sides, the AG and Trudeau believe they were acting correctly. (Mind you secretly taping a conversation and then leaking it doesn't seem honest to me; that of course doesn't make good press in the present political arena.) But now what we have and will have in the future is an article based on the press of the time. 10 years down the line we may look back and independent of the need to sell papers realize the press had pushed an agenda with we are faithfully documenting in excruciating detail, and that's not our job. I believe implied in our policies is that Wikipedia /encyclopedic article should be independent of times, documenting history, of course, but with a kind if neutral detachment based on an overview of all of the published information with some common sense thrown in, and a desire to remove ourselves from any position. We aren't the press we don't have to sell a story. In the meantime we've damaged another human being for as long as Wikipedia holds this article. The correct weight for the Lavelin controversy, in my opinion, would have been served by the section we have on the topic in the Trudeau article; we never needed to fork off content and create another article, unless we want to shine a light on this incident rather than include it as one more aspect of political turmoil in a leader's life. We can look at policy in a superficial and rigid way or we can look at it as underlying and supporting what we are supposed to be doing, and that is creating neutrality and objectivity. Anyway. Gets off soapbox. Stumbles away. Littleolive oil (talk) 16:32, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

September 2019 GOCE Newsletter

Guild of Copy Editors September 2019 Newsletter

Hello and welcome to the September newsletter, a brief update of Guild activities since June 2019.

June election: Reidgreg was chosen as lead coordinator, and is being assisted by Baffle gab1978, Miniapolis, Tdslk, and first-time coordinator Twofingered Typist. Jonesey95 took a respite after serving for six years. Thanks to everyone who participated!

June Blitz: From 16 to 22 June, we copy edited articles on the themes of nature and the environment along with requests. 12 participating editors completed 35 copy edits. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

July Drive: The year's fourth backlog-elimination drive was a great success, clearing all articles tagged in January and February, and bringing the copy-editing backlog to a low of five months and a record low of 585 articles while also completing 48 requests. Of the 30 people who signed up, 29 copyedited at least one article, a participation level last matched in May 2015. Final results and awards are listed here.

August Blitz: From 18 to 24 August, we copy edited articles tagged in March 2019 and requests. 12 participating editors completed 26 copy edits on the blitz. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

Progress report: As of 03:00, 23 September 2019 (UTC), GOCE copyeditors had processed 413 requests since 1 January. The backlog of tagged articles stood at 599 articles, close to our record month-end low of 585.

Requests page: We are experimenting with automated archiving of copy edit requests; a discussion on REQ Talk (permalinked) initiated by Bobbychan193 has resulted in Zhuyifei1999 writing a bot script for the Guild. Testing is now underway and is expected to be completed by 3 October; for this reason, no manual archiving of requests should be done until the testing period is over. We will then assess the bot's performance and discuss whether to make this arrangement permanent.

September Drive: Our current backlog-elimination drive is open until 23:59 on 30 September (UTC) and is open to all copy editors. Sign up today!

Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators, Baffle gab1978, Miniapolis, Reidgreg, Tdslk and Twofingered Typist.

Barnstar - October 2019

The Editor's Barnstar
For great work on 2019 Canadian federal election, making it more neutral and read more clearly. Ahunt (talk) 14:06, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

Oh gosh, thank you. Just plugging along. Littleolive oil (talk) 14:32, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

It is important work, especially in an article such as this, that is in the news right now. Lots of readers are making use of the article and it needs to look as best as possible, so thanks for your work on it. - Ahunt (talk) 14:50, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
And thanks for fixing anything I add that could be better worded or seems inaccurate. Littleolive oil (talk) 15:28, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
No problem, it is a collaborative effort! - Ahunt (talk) 15:34, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
It seems Ahunt was faster than me. I was going to thank you for the great work that you did. MikkelJSmith (talk) 16:01, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
No worries. I suspect I'm a sucker for flattery so praise always welcome. :O} Littleolive oil (talk) 16:54, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for removing falsehoods.

Thank you for removing them. I mostly do it when I found them, but I guess I missed some of them. MikkelJSmith (talk) 00:05, 9 October 2019 (UTC)

I was really shocked actually at the way the sources were being misrepresented. I'm going through them more carefully now given what I've seen. Thanks for your work as well. Littleolive oil (talk) 03:44, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for your comments on my work. I'm a bit behind in what I need to add. Due to work, I haven't added two big news stories regarding the CPC campaign. MikkelJSmith (talk) 12:23, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
Given the subject of the article it is not surprising that false information is being added. The best reaction is to read the refs and fix accordingly! - Ahunt (talk) 13:24, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
I'm traveling again and may not be able to do much more on the articles. Best. Littleolive oil (talk) 23:11, 11 October 2019 (UTC)

Interest in other editors

This, your twentieth edit on that sister project, after over eight months of absence there, starts to look surprisingly much like some sort of hounding: it is the third talk page, in a short time, where you jump in a discussion on a topic which before attracted little or nothing of your interest, immediately giving (mostly rather off-topic) negative comments about my editing. Please cease and desist with that behaviour. I've had much more dealings with the commons platform than you appear to have had, so I know what I can suggest or not, and need no comments that I should rather shut up and listen than offer suggestions. Where were you when composer autographs were sorted in correct categories in that sister project? Please be welcome to assist, but your off-topic negative comments (without actually fixing anything) help nobody. --Francis Schonken (talk) 10:00, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

    • Francis. This is disingenuous. You know as well as I do that the post on Commons was part of a larger discussion which began on this article [3]. Why would you pretend I landed on this discussion out of context of the other discussions I was part of. And no my comments were not off topic. You edit warred, you removed an other editor's tags before there was agreement, you stepped over the suggestions of other editors to make the changes you wanted. I don't like bullying and I don't like to see mischaracterizations either of myself or of anyone else as you did when you edited here "...don't expect readers on Christmas Day to fix the problems...", the quote of Gerda's comment here, "I also don't expect readers on Christmas Day to fix the problems of an article." to make it look as if she was making a general comment instead of stating here own opinion. Then you addressed her in a nasty way here, "speak for yourself, please.", when of course she had been speaking for herself. I've known and respected Gerda for quite a long time and if she is bullied again I will likely show up. I'll leave this up for a few days and will then archive your post. Littleolive oil (talk) 16:41, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
Re. "... I don't like bullying ..." – neither do I! --Francis Schonken (talk) 23:48, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
Re. "... context ..." – you made it perfectly clear with your comment above that the "context" of your following me from one page to the next was not your interest in the topic at hand (with your first comment on the Talk:Bach Digital page you had already made clear you had no interest in or opinion on the topic at hand: "I won't add an opinion on [the topic at hand]"), but the interest in another editor (yours truly), whom you would give negative criticism whenever you had the opportunity. That is hounding 1.0. And in stark contrast with the beautiful quote you have on top of your user page, about putting another person at ease: I may, thus far, have given little effort to put you at ease, but promise to do so in the future. --Francis Schonken (talk) 07:46, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
Francis. I have zero interest in following you and no I did not make perfectly clear what you are alleging. Not offering an opinion does not equal I don't care, it means I was willing to let you and Gerda work out the content while I offered more general statements which might have clarified and reminded us all of Wikipedia's position on for example, independent sources. I have an interest in the encyclopedia, in how the articles are presented, and in collaboration. I did not offer an opinion on the edit war because I did not want to become involved with the back and forth. If you present false information on, in this case Gerda, then yes, I will comment on that. If you misrepresent, in my opinion, what is happening on an article then yes, I will comment on that. If you edit war and you were at 4RR, although you reverted yourself, then yes, I will comment on that, and given you had reverted almost every edit made by anyone else then yes, I have concerns. And don't confuse hounding with following the natural sequences of discussion on the topics related to the article–manuscript, signature, holograph. I do not have the time or inclination to follow anyone, but once started on a topic I like to see it through as I did. I try to stay at 1RR so it is of zero use for me to revert if I see that almost all edits are being reverted, and I am sure not going to color my day and my life with all of the unpleasantness that comes with an edit war in this case, for one word. However, when you misrepresented Gerda I could not let that stand; when I felt you had misrepresented what had happened on an article, again, I would not let that stand. Collaboration is tedious sometimes and requires patience and humility, in my experience. I've learned to walk away from many situations where I felt content was wrong, or I felt it was wrong, because there was agreement among editors to use that content. This isn't an ivote just part of the give and take of a collaborative process. These are my opinions of course. Littleolive oil (talk) 15:21, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

GOCE December 2019 Newsletter

Guild of Copy Editors December 2019 Newsletter

Hello and welcome to the December 2019 GOCE newsletter, an update of Guild happenings since the September edition. Our Annual Report should be ready in late January.

Election time: Nominations for the election of a new tranche of Guild coordinators to serve for the first half of 2020 will be open from 1 to 15 December. Voting will then take place and the election will close on 31 December at 23:59 UTC. Positions for Guild coordinators, who perform the important behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our project running smoothly, are open to all Wikipedians in good standing. We welcome self-nominations so please consider nominating yourself if you've ever thought about helping out; it's your Guild and it doesn't run itself!

September Drive: Of the thirty-two editors who signed up, twenty-three editors copy edited at least one article; they completed 39 requests and removed 138 articles from the backlog, bringing the backlog to a low of 519 articles.

October Blitz: This event ran from 13 to 19 October, with themes of science, technology and transport articles tagged for copy edit, and Requests. Sixteen editors helped remove 29 articles from the backlog and completed 23 requests.

November Drive: Of the twenty-eight editors who signed up for this event, twenty editors completed at least one copy edit; they completed 29 requests and removed 133 articles from the backlog.

Our December Blitz will run from 15 to 21 December. Sign up now!

Progress report: From September to November 2019, GOCE copy editors processed 154 requests. Over the same period, the backlog of articles tagged for copy editing was reduced by 41% to an all-time low of 479 articles.

Request archiving: The archiving of completed requests has now been automated. Thanks to Zhuyifei1999 and Bobbychan193, YiFeiBot is now archiving the Requests page. Archiving occurs around 24 hours after a user's signature and one of the templates {{Done}}, {{Withdrawn}} or {{Declined}} are placed below the request. The bot uses the Guild's standard "purpose codes" to determine the way it should archive each request so it's important to use the correct codes and templates.

Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators; Reidgreg, Baffle gab1978, Miniapolis, Tdslk and Twofingered Typist.

Regarding the accuracy of the TM short description recently reverted

The words added were not mine – I merely imported them from Wikidata unchanged. So if you can come up with something more accurate and concise, please do. It will only help to make Wikipedia a better place, as I am sure we both try to do. Best regards, 1980fast (talk) 22:08, 5 March 2020 (UTC)

@1980fast: Wikidata is not a particularly good source for Wikipedia and the definition wherever it came from is not accurate. As I understand the TM technique "focus" is not part of the correct practice. The article explains the technique pretty well using Wikipedia compliant sources so there's no need to add something poorly sourced and not accurate. Best wishes. Arbitration case opened

In 2018, you offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has now accepted that request for arbitration, and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Jytdog. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Jytdog/Evidence. Please add your evidence by March 23, 2020, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Jytdog/Workshop. GOCE March newsletter

Guild of Copy Editors March 2020 Newsletter

Hello and welcome to the March newsletter, a brief update of Guild activities since December 2019. All being well, we're planning to issue these quarterly in 2020, balancing the need to communicate widely with the avoidance of filling up talk pages. Don't forget you can unsubscribe at any time; see below.

Election results: There was little changeover in the roster of Guild Coordinators, with Miniapolis stepping down with distinction as a coordinator emeritus while Jonesey95 returned as lead coordinator. The next election is scheduled for June 2020 and all Wikipedians in good standing may participate.

January Drive: Thanks to everyone for the splendid work, completing 215 copy edits including 56 articles from the Requests page and 116 backlog articles from the target months of June to August 2019. At the conclusion of the drive there was a record low of 323 articles in the copy editing backlog. Of the 27 editors who signed up for the drive, 21 copyedited at least one article. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

February Blitz: Of the 15 editors who signed up for this one-week blitz, 13 completed at least one copy edit. A total of 32 articles were copy edited, evenly split between the twin goals of requests and the oldest articles from the copy-editing backlog. Full results are here.

March Drive: Currently underway, this event is targeting requests and backlog articles from September to November 2019. As of 18 March, the backlog stands at a record low of 253 articles and is expected to drop further as the drive progresses. Awards will be given to everyone who copyedits at least one article from the backlog. Help set a new record and sign up now!

Progress report: As of 18 March, GOCE copyeditors have completed 161 requests in 2020 and there was a net reduction of 385 articles from the copy-editing backlog – a 60% decrease from the beginning of the year. Well done and thank you everyone!

Cheers from your GOCE coordinators Jonesey95, Baffle gab1978, Reidgreg, Tdslk and Twofingered Typist

MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 15:52, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

Hey there

I am sorry that my sloppy punctuation led to such confusion here. Since I have unwatched that page per the unseemly continuation of a delicate topic by another editor, I just wanted to make sure I have clarified everything to your satisfaction, and apologize for the unintended effect my post had on you. I respect your intent to be fair considering the pandemic, but my own view is that "fairness" towards an editor with long-standing egregious behaviors is a lesser important aim than protecting the innocent in a situation this reprehensible, and frankly, terrifying to me as a woman who has been stalked before. I hope that clears up my position? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:46, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

No worries at all. We all come to this from different, hopefully legitimate views. I've been harassed off-Wikipedia but pertaining to Wikipedia so I know how that feels. Best wishes and so sorry you've had to endure stalking; it's unconscionable behaviour. Littleolive oil (talk) 21:24, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
And you to, Littleolive oil, I'm so sorry to hear of your off-wiki harassment. Being the internet, when you scratch the surface, WP is no different to the socials in that it has its fair share of absolute nut jobs. People forget that you never really know who is at the end of the other keyboard. We all have to be so careful. Best wishes. CassiantoTalk 21:42, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
What is scary is that it can happen even when you are as careful as I have been. I had police on board, death threats, the full (but quiet) help of arbcom, but I still have to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life. My message at that talk page got messed up because of all that I was trying not to say, so it came out utterly garbled. I would never dare enter evidence in such a terrifying situation, for fear of reprisal. But I didn't need to, because another medical editor (who happened to be female) entered evidence anyway about his effect on medical editing, even though another medical editor (who happened to be male) did defend his contributions. I don't care if I enter evidence or not; if arbcom lets an editor with that kind of editing record back in here, I vanish. Those kinds of behaviors (which were there all along) don't change, no matter the charm and apparent contrition exuded when trying to get back in. But I do understand, considering the extenuating times we are living in, Littleoliveoil's desire towards fairness. Again, sorry my message got so garbled, and sorry to hear that you, too, have been harassed. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:26, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
It is with great respect and admiration that, after reading the various experiences, I understand and can relate to the different perspectives. Atsme Talk 📧 00:00, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

Atsme, you inspired me out of my cowardice. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 07:35, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
Ahhh, Sandy, thank you for the kind words about my prose - they are much appreciated. As an aside, I enjoy and appreciate the Burma shave prose by some of WP's comic geniuses - such wit has no boundaries...and it's fun. As for inspiration, I know all too well how difficult it is to muster up such courage in difficult times, and therein lies an "Atsmeism" for why it's called muster. -<-@. GOCE coordinators normally serve a six-month term and are elected on an approval basis. Self-nominations are welcome. If you've thought about helping out at the Guild, or you know of another editor who would make a good coordinator, please consider standing for election or nominating them here.

June Blitz: This blitz begins at 00:01 on 14 June and ends at 23:59 on 20 June, with themes of articles tagged for copyedit in May 2020 and requests.

Drive and blitz reports

March Drive: Self-isolation from coronavirus may have played a hand in making this one of our most successful backlog elimination drives. The copy-editing backlog was reduced from 477 to a record low of 118 articles, a 75% reduction. The last four months of 2019 were cleared, reducing the backlog to three months. Fifty requests were also completed, and the total word count of copy-edited articles was 759,945. Of the 29 editors who signed up, 22 completed at least one copy edit. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

April Blitz: This blitz ran from 12 to 18 April with a theme of Indian military history. Of the 18 people who signed up, 14 copyedited at least one article. Participants claimed a total of 60 copyedits. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

May Drive: This event marked the 10th anniversary of the GOCE's copy-editing drives, and set a goal of diminishing the backlog to just one month of articles, as close to zero articles as possible. We achieved the goal of eliminating all articles that had been tagged prior to the start of the drive, for the first time in our history! Of the 51 editors who signed up, 43 copyedited at least one article. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

Other news

Progress report: as of 2 June, GOCE participants had processed 328 requests since 1 January, which puts us on pace to exceed any previous year's number of requests. As of the end of the May drive, the backlog stood at just 156 articles, all tagged in May 2020.

Outreach: To mark the 10th anniversary of our first Backlog Elimination Drive, The Signpost contributor and GOCE participant Puddleglum2.0 interviewed project coordinators and copy-editors for the journal's April WikiProject Report. The Drive and the current Election of Coordinators have also been covered in The Signpost's May News and Notes page.

Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators Jonesey95, Baffle gab1978, Reidgreg, Tdslk and Twofingered Typist.

Double check

May I kindly ask you to take a look at Talk:Mustang#Final_draft? I restored the citations, and we probably need a source cross check because what cites what may have gotten mixed up in the discussion. Also, readability. Hope we are getting it right. Montanabw(talk) 16:37, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Yes, I will definitely look in, and was planning to. I'm tied up until later this afternoon, for the bulk of it, but count on me taking a look at everything. Littleolive oil (talk) 17:29, 21 J une 2020 (UTC)

I had made a few simple edits in the past and looked again for any simple copyedits needed. I've made a few. Hope you're having a good summer. Littleolive oil (talk) 21:14, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

Thank you! I expected vandalism, but it was a rather peaceful TFA day. Yes, hot today, but nice meal among friends and a stroll on a high mountain. Perhaps you can help with another article, Heilpraktiker. I found a sad stub saying that it was a Nazi invention. On the talk page I found that someone had translated the substantial German article, but as it was more or less unsourced - as usual - that was reverted a few times. I expanded a bit, and found a 1999 ref on which the German is mostly based. I don't think we need all that detail back, but a bit more - for fairness - would be good. Rather recently, press coverage was very critical, and practitioners fear for their existence. That should show, too, of course, but not Nazi and that alone. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:17, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
So sorry to not be able to help. Life is busy somehow even in these times. Littleolive oil (talk) 04:44, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

Just a quick drive-by

I have an innocent question that I dare not ask in a high traffic area, and UTP's are basically considered safe spaces so ta da! Here I am! I saw your name in the Ayurveda edit history, so you obviously know something about the topic. What I know about it will fit on the head of a pin. If my memory serves, it was the name of a gift set I received last Christmas - liquid bath soap, lotion, etc. ^_^ Anyway...here's my question - shouldn't someone from WP inform John Hopkins Medicine that it's quackery? %Þ Happy editing! Atsme Talk 📧 01:05, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

Hah! I suspect Johns Hopkins knows exactly what Ayurveda is and what is posted on their website as one of the top medical schools in the country. We can probably leave it to them. My knowledge of Ayurveda is pretty general and superficial; I do have some experience in MEDRS related articles so that's why I've commented there. The thing to remember, I remind myself, is that Wikipedia has a very specific universe which may or may not correspond to the real world. For sure some of the writing standards are the same as in academia-original research, unsourced content, plagiarism, but one of our articles is not necessarily accurate in part because, at anytime, anyone, can change content, with out in many cases anyone here knowing it, and because our editors may have POV which influences what they search for in terms of sources or how they write. The quack label comes directly from a RS and from the Indian Medical Association; it references content we should include. There might be other ways of wording the article but I believe implied consensus is to use quack.
I personally don't like generalizations anywhere. I work in the visual and performing arts, have a background in Eng Lit. I have a small dance company that performs, on and off, improvisation dance movement theater and I'm a painter. My work in those areas has lead me to look in an ongoing basis at how the brain functions in human beings. Generalizations seems to be a way for us to categorize easily but it's never original. I have an interest in originality and uniqueness so generalization looks like lazy brain to me that won't move beyond it's own limitations. But we all generalize and we all get caught in thinking what is fed to us is accurate or fact. Our brains dictate much of how we respond; we think we're being correct or accurate and even original but we are a product of how our brains function, often unknowingly. So dealing with Wikipedia is matter of dealing with our own universe with it's generalizations, rules and regulations. I've come to have a small understanding of that universe so my only position is to deal with the article with those guides and to leave whatever knowledge I have at the door. I know in some case content is not accurate and I know it's not always neutral but I work on walking away rather than fight it out. In most cases, I believe other more experienced editors work to be neutral. In the end, our articles may not be accurate enough for a top tier medical university. We are though, I hope, giving the general reader a sense of the topic. I seem to be going on and on. Thanks for driving by. :O) Littleolive oil (talk) 19:30, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

Last in August: Rhythm Is It! - I expanded that stub on my dad's birthday because we saw the film together back then, and were impressed. As a ref said: every educator should see it. Don't miss the trailer, for a starter. - A welcome chance to present yet another article by Brian on the Main page, Le Sacre du printemps. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:37, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
Looks interesting. I'll take a look. A good reminder of your dad. I miss my dad too, right now more than ever for some reason. Thanks Gerda. Littleolive oil (talk) 21:02, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. Today the other tribute to missed Brian, TFA. Please watch. I'll to to bed now, and will be out most of tomorrow. But I don't expect much vandalism for a sacred composition. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:46, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

... better go outside ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:33, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

I voted. My favourite time of year from now until Christmas. Spending lots of time outside for lots of reasons!Littleolive oil (talk) 05:15, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

I didn't vote yet. I asked the candidates to look at a Donizetti opera, L'Ange de Nisida, could also say Rita (opera), or Castor et Pollux. I hate edit war, but also hate when a turn to a better version is reverted. - Enjoy time outside. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:59, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
