Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Evangelos Assimakopoulos has been reverted.
Your edit here to Evangelos Assimakopoulos was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/user/EvangelosLiza) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Guitarists[edit]

Thanks for your work on these two guitarists. There are a few points I must raise, though:

  1. When you make a link to another Wikipeda page, you do it by using two square brackets, like this: [[Oscar Ghiglia]]
  2. The quote from Segovia can only be included if you can provide a reliable and independent source for it - this is because our policy on verifiability says "all quotations ... must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation." In other words, for a start, you need to state where Segovia wrote his statement - was it in a magazine, newspaper, book?
  3. Please don't add excessive links to the "Official homepage" - one in the infobox and one in the External links section at the end is sufficient.
  4. Don't add links to sites that merely reprint already self-published content, such as this and this. I've removed these from the Assimakopoulos article. Any further links you add should provide references to article content, and they must be to reliable independent sources. (Added: 22:55, 2 November 2011 (UTC))

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on E v a n g e l o s & L i z a requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Vrenator talk 12:53, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

November 2011[edit]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Evangelos & Liza. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.  —SMALLJIM  14:50, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify the above warning, you have again added that alleged quote from Segovia without attributing it. —SMALLJIM  14:55, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia without resolving the problem that the template refers to, may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing Wikipedia.  —SMALLJIM  15:44, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir, i'm trying to inform people about the most famous and important duo nowadays in classical guitar Evangelos & Liza, which has a huge worldwide carrer. I can't understand why you keep deleting thε links in this article...Do you think that i'm a tricky person? I've uploaded so many pfotos to show you that this Duo has played all around the world for so many years...I search in wikipedia about other musicians and you haven't delete the things that you deleted in my article. For example you deleted twice the Youtubechannel external link i put, but you haven't done for example in Kostas Grigoreas article...And when i tried to upload a photo of Evangelos Assimakopoulos you said that there was in an other site, so it didn't agree with Wikipedia's coryright policy and you deleted it. The same hapenned with a lot of other photos. But can't you think that of course they would exist in other sites because as it's obvious (but as i see only not for you) he is a famous, worldwide guitar player...?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At any rate,if you think that there are not reliable information in the article or that this is an autobiogrphy and these people are trying to advertise theri selves,or this article shouldn't be in Wikipedia then that's fine by me!

Wikipedia is "the encyclopedia that anyone can edit", but if you're unhappy with the way your contributions have been treated, you need to know a bit more about how Wikipedia works. A good way of doing this would be to skim through our information page at WP:SIMPLE and follow up some of the links to other pages that appear to be relevant to your concerns.
I don't understand your queries about uploading photographs - there are photos in both Evangelos Assimakopoulos and Liza Zoe articles. Did you perhaps try to upload a new photo with the same name as one of these? If so, just use a different filename and it should work OK. If that's not the problem, then reading this section of our copyright policy page might explain.
Finally, I'm not disputing that the guitar duo that you are so interested in is notable, or that we should have an article on them. The main concern here is that you seem to be very closely associated with the people you are writing about - are you Liza Zoe? As one of the messages posted earlier on this page states, editors with an apparent conflict of interest are strongly advised not to edit articles on the topics they are involved with. When they do, their edits tend to attract the interest of other editors who are concerned that Wikipedia remains unbiased and does not promote any person or entity.
I hope this helps. If you have further questions after reading WP:SIMPLE, please feel free to ask them below.  —SMALLJIM  14:23, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Of course i'm not Liza Zoe.My name is Virginia Amariotaki and i am a guitar soloist.I am a student of them and i' trying to create this article for them because they don't have knowledge of computers. First of all i don't want to merge the Evangelos Assimakopoulos and Liza Zoe into Evangelos Liza. I think it would be better because their bios are different. The article is not copied and pasted from other source, so please remove these messages on the top of the article. In the article Evangelos & Liza i've put in Reviews a photo gallery. There are so many photos which can prove thas everything i say is true about their concerts all over the world... The other thing is that i can't prove with links anything because as you say it will be like an advertisement...please check this link i send you: (one of the biggest magazines in classical guitar worldwide-The classical Guitar magazine) which has an interview of them.http://www.fretsonly.com/fretshop/classical-guitar-magazine-november-1999.html

There are so many others but i can't find them in internet... For example i can give you the link of an other - also very important magazine in which there is also an interview of them. http://www.guitarfoundation.org/drupal/node/3082 I can upload the photos of the magazine in the Photo Gallery i have created in Reviews (in the article Evangelos & Liza).

We have all the newspapers and reviews for them but we can't search and find them in internet. Maybe this is something that you could do

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.49.196.242 (talk) 16:57, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks for explaining. To answer your points:
1. As you are one of their students I strongly advise you not to make any changes to any of the three articles again, because your conflict of interest is likely to mean that you cannot do so without bias. You should restrict yourself to requesting any changes you want to make on the appropriate talk pages, per bullets 1 and 4 and the "Action" box at WP:AVOIDCOI.
2. If you think that the two artist articles should not be merged to the one on the duo, you can make your case at Talk:Evangelos & Liza.
3. The article is clearly copied and pasted from somewhere (I guess an earlier version of one of the articles): this is shown by the original lack of formatting and the "dead" reference numbers. However, I will remove the tag because I can see that it may have been confusing - I don't believe there is any issue over copyright as the tag suggests there may be. I'll also remove that unattributed Segovia quote, as noted above.
4. I'm sorry, but unless it's related to that copy and paste tag, I really don't understand the point of the rest of your comment: as I've already said that there's no issue over the notability of the duo and no-one is proposing to delete the article. What does need to be done, though, is to re-link those references with the original sources - I'll look into this in the next few days.
By the way, it would be useful if you could remember to log in (as Lizevas) before making any edits, and when you write anything on a talk page, you should end your posting with four tildes, like this ~~~~. This automatically signs and dates your message.  —SMALLJIM  23:20, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much.. Let me explain you about the "dead" numbers..When i was writing their biography i put them in order to give some citations..This is all my fault but as you can understand i was confused because of the previous two articles i had created...I would be grateful if you could finally find a solution for this article, and if you could disappear and the rest of the messages on the top of this article.( there arealso similar messages and in the other two articles, please do something about it)
I am also wondering why i can't find the article if i write: "Evangelos & Liza wikipedia" in Google . (as i do with the other two articles)
Thank youLizevas (talk) 00:18, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Right. I've cleaned up Evangelos & Liza and included the references and photos from the other two articles. Looks like the basis for a nice little article. Since their whole lives appear to have followed the same path, there seems to be no point for having separate articles on each artist, and indeed, it's very doubtful that they are individually notable - compare Wikipedia:Notability (music) with Wikipedia:Notability (people).  —SMALLJIM  23:59, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much! I really believe that the two articles shouldn't be merged because they have not only the duo career but also an individual one each of them, so many people will probably search them as Evangelos Assimakopoulos or Liza Zoe seperate. I have some questions : - What about the photogallery i had uploaded? Couldn't this exist in the article? - And could i use some more external links (that they seem to prove that they are known worldwide) for very different sites in different countries? - What about the messages in the other two articles you have in the beggining on each of them? Can you also please remove them? - And Finally what about the Segovia hand ritten letter? Thank you for your time...77.49.196.242 (talk) 01:05, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You probably don't know about "redirects". If we convert the other two pages to redirects to Evangelos & Liza, anyone searching for them will be taken to that page instead - I'm sure this is the best solution. Regarding the "photogallery", I see that you've created a bit of a stir over at Commons with your uploading of copyrighted scans and photos, and you need to sort things out over there. The article doesn't need any more external links, per our guideline; and we can't include extracts from an unpublished letter - WP:PSTS explains.  —SMALLJIM  10:55, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

there are some photos you say they're stolen but i can't understand this, because they are not...They are also some of them that appear not having any problem..What about them??? 194.219.205.153 (talk) 22:53, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is all about copyright, and although I'm not an expert I do know that owning a photograph (the physical paper thing) is not the same as owning the copyright of the photograph, unless you took it yourself. And scanning or taking photos of magazine articles doesn't give you the right to distribute the resulting images either. But this really is a matter for Commons - if no-one replies to your query on your talk page there and if you really don't understand you could try asking for help at Commons:Help desk. But remember to log in first!  —SMALLJIM  15:29, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

i don't understand all these photographs are my own work and of course they are not stolen. Why can't i have them in my article????194.219.205.153 (talk) 16:05, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please change these photographs and put one that Evangelos & Liza are together. I think it would be better as the article refer to them as a duo..Lizevas (talk) 21:15, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I can't see one that looks particularly appropriate - which did you have in mind?  —SMALLJIM  12:22, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
