May 2012[edit]

Please do not write an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Lizzie Thompson. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lizzie Thompson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. AllyD (talk) 15:39, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and Notability[edit]

Final warning[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! Wikipedia is a real encyclopedia, not a personal web site. You are not going to be able to write an article about your own soon-to-begin music career at Wikipedia. It's important that you stop creating the article about yourself and read some of the rules you've been offered here. Then you can decide whether volunteering to help write an encyclopedia is something you are interested in doing, or whether you would prefer to log off and focus on your music. If you continue trying to use Wikipedia to advertise yourself, I will be sad when I block you from further editing. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:04, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. 5 albert square (talk) 20:21, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lizzy

It is with regret that I have had to block you for 48 hours because you have not heeded FisherQueen's advice above and continued to recreate the article below. You also added unreferenced information to the article Peter Andre. Please stop creating articles about yourself. If you do edit Wikipedia then edits to a WP:BLP, such as Peter Andre must be referenced so they are verifiable. However you are not allowed to make such edits to a BLP article that advertise yourself. I strongly suggest that you take the time out to read Wikipedia's notability rules on music, general notability rules and rules on creating your own autobiography. Please note that if your editing continues in its current format once your block has expired then you may find that the next block is longer, and may even be indefinite.--5 albert square (talk) 20:34, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Lacey Thompson, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the page that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. A:-)Brunuś (talk) 20:23, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
