User page[edit]

Please know that your user page is not article space or space to draft an article, but a place for you to tell about yourself as a Wikipedia user. Is there a reason you stopped editing your draft? 331dot (talk) 08:56, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

When I was editing the draft, if I made too many publishes to save my work, it would restrict me from publishing more because it thought I was a bot. My professor put in the instructions that if I was making a new article, I should just put the draft in my user page. Once I'm satisfied with my progress, I'll move it over to the draft. Llerro (talk) 19:37, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You have to be editing very rapidly for edit filters to think you are a bot- your edit history honestly doesn't look like you edited fast enough to do that, but I take your word that this happened to you. That said, it doesn't matter what type of page you are editing- that would happen regardless.
Your professor is in error- drafts should be worked on in draft space. Your user page is for as I described above- to tell about yourself as a Wikipedia user. 331dot (talk) 20:35, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll bring this up with my professor then. Hopefully it shouldn't be in my user page for long. Llerro (talk) 20:44, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll put it in a subpage. Llerro (talk) 22:39, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The instructions that I provided to students explained that draft articles could be created on subpages of the User page. If this information is in error, please let me know. Hoopes (talk) 17:07, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
