Noted you have reversed my edit to Gary Fan. The purpose of the edit is to (1) expunge repetition and (2) improve the quality of source. The edit reversal preserves a repetition of the same "bottom of" or "root of" opinion, each merely being alternative English translations of the original words used by Fan. These are not two facts but one expressed in alternate forms. It should be removed for this reason. As regards the quality of source, you are insisting on relying upon a controversial political commentator's regurgitation opinion piece rather than on the original press report. Chinglish in Wikipedia
I note your various edits to Elsie Tu. While we all applaud your efforts to contribute to WP, I have the following observations: (1) adding swathes of grammatically very poor material just creates work for capable English editors. Over 4,000 characters of such material in one go is genuinely problematic. Might I suggest that you restrict your activities to Chinese WP? (2) You are reversing other editors' work merely on the basis of the desire to preserve your own work without justification. Your 0338 10 Dec edit cites a lack of "casual relations" in my introductory expression. Please explain what relations, casual or otherwise, have to do with your undo. If, perchance, you had the need for a causal link in mind, then all you need do is read all that immediately preceded the words I added. The purpose of the introductory words was to aid the flow from one section to the next. The denouement to Tu's years in political office was to take the appointed role. It was a refuge from repeated failure to retain elected office. - @Citobun: I start by repeating that the standard of English in the page was atrocious. If that's the best Hong Kong can offer in editing (as you imply), we have something to go home and weep about. But what I did was, by and large, no more than superficial. The page remains a very poor example because it contains many elements which do not conform to WP standards, specifically, many statements of purported fact whose citations relied upon by lmmnhm are merely the subject's own comment found in her own work. An encyclopedia is of little value if it parrots as fact such material. If I have the time (and this is the part that requires real talent and dedication, so I may not be up to it), I'll do the research and try to find independent sources to justify what's said and, if I cannot, much material will have to be modified or deleted. Or perhaps lmmhn would like to take this comment on board and, in a manner quite dissimilar to her response to my efforts to bring her grammar up to scratch, accept that there's a long way to go and take at least one step up to the plate. Cut and paste move
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give 2016 Mong Kok Riot a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into 2016 Mong Kok civil unrest. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. The purpose of edit summaries
The edit summary offers the opportunity to communicate purpose and intent to other editors. It is a courtesy to provide one. Where edit reversal is the nature of the edit, the edit summary ought to be regarded as an essential, not just a courtesy, because any edit reversal must be accompanied by a powerful reason for doing it. It is notable that Lmmnhn has a very low edit summary rate, currently only 56.4%. Now, there can be some good reasons for that but Lmmnhn has just reversed an edit made to Pierre Chan and provided no such summary. This is negative behaviour in a collaborative environment Lmmnhn is urged to consider increasing edit summaries as a sign of recognition that WP is not a private page workplace. sirlanz 08:11, 15 September 2016 (UTC)

About categorization of elected candidates
Template:Hong Kong legislative election, 2016
According to HK Apple Daily and TVB, they said there are 7 elected candidates are of "Localism camp", including 6 in geographical constituencies and 1 in traditional functional constituencies. Is it better to split the "Anti-establishment camp" in "Pan-democracy camp" and "Localism camp" on the above template? UU (talk) 11:22, 5 September 2016 (UTC)
- Apple Daily does not categorise Eddie Chu, Lau Siu-lai and Nathan Law as "localists" but rather "self-determinists", but this label does not exist in the English media yet. According to HK Apple Daily: 陳沛然得票高於上屆梁家騮, Bastille: 陳沛然屬性有爭議 and MUCH MORE recent sources, Pierre Chan is of middle-of-the-road group, rather than "anti-establishment" ("反"建制) (anti- mean "反", but NOT "非"). Therefore, categorizing Pierre Chan into "anti-establishment" is very inappropriate. Please stop misleading readers, thank you. UU (talk) 16:33, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

In Template:Hong Kong legislative election, 2016, the elected candidates of "Pro-Beijing others" were decreased by one because Junius Ho was elected, BUT Tony Tse was defeated and Leung Ka-lau was retired.
