Battle of Isandlwana[edit]

A WP:Third opinion was requested and from the history of the Battle of Isandlwana page it would appear that you are one of the two editors involved. Please go to Talk:Battle of Isandlwana#Third opinion and offer your thoughts there.

Your contributions suggest you are trying to improve this article, but when a dispute occurs it is far more effective to discuss it with the other editor on the article talk page instead of reverting or inserting further edits. It is also helpful to include Edit summaries when you make an edit so fellow editors can understand what changes you have made.

Use the article talk page[edit]

LordSaddler, the correct approach to dealing with a content dispute is to discuss it on the article talk page, not reverting the article to one's preferred revision when one happens to be passing, as you have done today. Your addition to my talk page actually raises a very good point that needs further discussion — the lead doesn't really do enough to encapsulate the context of the battle or the reasons for the Zulu victory.

You actually make a very good point, but your failure to act as per the expected bounds of a wikipedia editor are undermining your position. I have previously told you about using the article talk page and using edit summaries but you have singularly failed to heed my well intentioned advice. If you need some assistance with these things you have only to ask, here or on my talk page. If you want fellow-editors to understand the point you are trying to convey you must use the article talk page to do so — you have not made a single edit to Talk:Battle of Isandlwana at the time of writing.
