Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:45, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article in userspace

[edit]

I didn't know if anyone told you, but the article is at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mobile Trauma Bay. It looks like you're aware, but I thought that I'd mention it anyway. That said, the problem was that the article you were trying to create was in the wrong place. If you're trying to create an article for AfC, the place to go would be WP:AfC and to follow the prompts. The other problem is that if an article is declined at AfC, it's not always a good idea to try to create an article in the mainspace before running it through AfC again, at least not when you're a newer user. The problem is that sometimes the issues that were brought up by the AfC decliner aren't always fixed with the newer edits and still need to be addressed. You're doing the right thing by trying to get help at the Teahouse, though. I hope that you aren't getting too discouraged, as getting articles approved and learning all of the ins and outs of Wikipedia can be difficult at first. Hi, I know how to talk in the tea house but not from one talk page to another so I don't know if you will get this. Thank you. You are very sweet on top of being helpful. I guess you are saying my article existed in two places so when one was removed the other still had my article.

What I don't understand is that you say " the other problem is that if an article is declined at AFC, its not always a good idea to try to create an article in the mainspce" What I did was write an article on Jame Hancock, the developer of the MTB. but that was rejected. based on the comments i realized it would be better to make the article about the MTB rather than him. So rather than started a new article from scratch, I changed the title from JL Hancock to MTB. I then rewrote the text in the same box.

I'm thinking this was not the right way to do it, but I don't know what to do to get back on track. I will post this in the teahouse to start. Thanks again for helping me. Lily GMarin 04:39, 21 September 2013 (UTC)

Sounds sensible to me! Sorry if you couldn't find your draft article. It was me who moved it to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mobile Trauma Bay (unfortunately someone prematurely deleted the link to the new location). New editors normally create an article in their 'sandbox' (see link at top of your screen) or use the Articles for Creation wizard. I presumed you were trying to create a new article. When you think the article is ready, you can press the long green button to submit the article for review. Sionk (talk) 09:19, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It looks as if you might be trying to sign your messages, but you haven't got a link to either your user page or your user talk page. Please read WP:Signature; one possible cause of such problems is if you have tried to customise your signature but have erroneously ticked the box labelled "Treat the above as wiki markup" under signatures at Special:Preferences. - David Biddulph (talk) 12:35, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mobile Trama Bay

[edit]

Hello, you're welcome to add/edit whatever you like to the Logistics Vehicle System page (it's certainly not my call to say otherwise). I'm not sure what exactly you'd like me to do though. Did you want me to create a wikilink to the Mobile Trauma Bay page from the LVS page? I'll be more than glad to help, just need some clarification. Pretendo (talk) 21:59, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
