About user pages[edit]

Dear LuHay Tari3: I see that you are a fairly new editor, so it's likely that you aren't aware that it's not customary to edit another user's main user page. What you added to mine was, of course, true, but I some users would be annoyed, so I thought I'd mention it now in case you had planned to continue doing that. If you have an opinion about the contents of a user's page, the appropriate thing to do is to leave a message about it on his or her talk page, as I am doing now.

By the way, your own user page says that you joined Wikipedia September 2015, which obviously isn't right. Also, if in the far future (after many thousands of useful edits and work in various areas showing that you are familiar with Wikipedia policies) you do want to become an administrator, it is better not to announce it on your talk page, because many editors will not recommend someone for administrator if they think the person is more interested in having the title than in using the admin tools to improve the encyclopedia.

Good luck with you editing.—Anne Delong (talk) 12:37, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

And, in particular, this edit does not make you an admin. Please edit your user page and delete the {{Administrator}} template. You might take at look at Wikipedia:List of administrator hopefuls and use one of the templates there. -- Rick Block (talk) 15:36, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
