Information icon Hello, I'm MelbourneStar. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one or more of your recent contributions to Johan Grimonprez because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. —MelbourneStartalk 13:29, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Johan Grimonprez. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. —MelbourneStartalk 14:07, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. --VVikingTalkEdits 14:08, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Johan Grimonprez. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. —MelbourneStartalk 14:29, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Johan Grimonprez. —MelbourneStartalk 14:33, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Widr (talk) 14:39, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
