Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, LucieG-PR, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Beretta Holding, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hi Kj,
Thank you for your message. I've removed irrelevant, outdated, and wrong information with accurate and audited key facts and figures. The tone is informative, and it doesn't intend to market any product. Please let me know if you notice any sentence that might entail the unfair removal of the content I posted.
Thank you,
Lucie LucieG-PR (talk) 13:11, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lucie,
Firstly, are you employed by Beretta Holding to edit Wikipedia? As undisclosed paid editing is a breach of Wikipedia policy as per WP:PAID. -Kj cheetham (talk) 13:23, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Kj,
Yes, I was reading about the policy right now. How can I add it to the page? Thanks. LucieG-PR (talk) 13:26, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, have a look at WP:COIPAYDISCLOSE, let me know if you have any problems. I would however strongly recommend not editing the article itself though, as per WP:NOPAY. You may want to seek further advice at WP:TEAHOUSE as I'm not an expert on such things though. Generally editors with a conflict of interest should propose changes on the article's talk page. The content you added is not lost, it still exists in the article's history. I removed it because it removed most the existing references, added a lot of external links, and appeared to be a potential conflict of interest. Proper referrencing is essential for an article, from independant sources. I did not read it in detail. I hope this clarifies things a bit. -Kj cheetham (talk) 13:42, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I would need to add {{connected contributor (paid by Beretta Holding)}} on my version but I can't edit it anymore. Do you know how I can proceed? Then I will submit it for review. LucieG-PR (talk) 13:55, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your code wasn't quite right, so I've taken the liberty of adding a userbox on your user page at User:LucieG-PR and the article talk page at Talk:Beretta Holding. I hope that is okay. I'd expect you'd only propose simpler changes on the article's talk page, rather than a whole rewrite of the exiting article. WP:TEAHOUSE is probably the best place to ask for help if needed. I personally tend to only fix little things. :) -Kj cheetham (talk) 14:24, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much!!!! I've tried to keep the same structure and only removed the incorrect information. Financial figures have been outdated since 2016, and so is the content. On the current page, even the company's name is erroneous, the same as the headquarter. How can I retrieve the version I've submitted? Is there any chance an editor can review it? Thanks LucieG-PR (talk) 14:31, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your text is found at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Beretta_Holding&oldid=1135712168. As mentioned, you'd removed most references in that (about 40). I'd offer to review myself, but I mostly only deal with biographical articles and castles as a bit of a hobby. If you ask at Teahouse you can hopefully find someone to help in more detail. -Kj cheetham (talk) 14:40, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Kj,
No one seems willing to review my content so I would probably leave the page with wrong and outdated information. Too bad official sources are not taken seriously. Thank you for your help today. Have nice day. Lucie LucieG-PR (talk) 15:30, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Proposing changes

[edit]

If you have a conflict of interest and you make any substantive change to an article with which you have a conflict of interest, your changes will be reverted. You may make minor changes to spelling, grammar, names, dates, and other small maintenance edits. You can add citations to reliable sources that are independent of your company. You can revert obvious vandalism. But beyond that, you must propose any substantive change on the article talk page, Talk:Beretta Holding.

Be sure to make a proposal in the form "change X to Y", or "add X after Y" or "remove X", and cite reliable sources as well as explain the reasoning for your change.

You may preface your proposal with the tag {{request edit}} to cause your proposal to be listed on a category page that is monitored by some editors. Be aware that there is a large backlog of such requests, so it may take some time for someone to review yours. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:34, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Pietro Gussalli Beretta moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Pietro Gussalli Beretta, is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 14:25, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
