Could you please delete Image:Janet Jackson Nude Sunbathing.jpg for me? Consensus seems to be that this shouldn't be included in the Janet Jackson article and I'm the only uploader/editor for it so far. Also, could you please speedy delete all of the following pages I tagged on RC patrol: My Mothers Ass, Justin martin, and Dark Marine 123. Thanks in advance. Firebug 01:06, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've deleted all these pages.-gadfium 01:53, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why won't you let me create a page for the Cheat Happens site? I am a staff member there (Neo7) and it well deserves its own spot here. --Neo7

Hey how did you delete that "Fucken Hell" page just now? I would have deleted it myself but I didn't know how Goaty 06:18, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I would just like to know the reason for the deletion of the Chris Thornett page.

What is wrong with an article on 3535? Why did you delete that? What is wrong with you?

APUS: I am sorry, I gave my account name and password to my advanced placement us history students. They feel its funny to vandalize other's articles when I taught them that wikipedia is a reliable and trustworthy source for their research projects. May you please unblock it? I have already administered disciplinary action to my students.

Thanks. I seem to have annoyed User:Iopq and some IPs after deleting the particularly nasty Wc3forum.tk article. Jkelly 02:21, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mario Revolution

[edit]

I was wondering if you could add a redirect to the Mario Series page from the Mario Revolution page. Then people would go there instead of making a new page--User:Jedi6 December 2, 2005

I want to add a see also List of Mario Games or a see also Super Mario 128 but you have the page blocked. If there is a see also link away from the page then peopl can find out more info. about the mario series there.--User:Jedi6 December 2, 2005
Thanks! I'm going to put Mario Revolution on my watch page so I can keep an eye on it.  :).--User:Jedi6 December 2, 2005

Hi. I mentioned you in my summary at Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Iopq. I am hoping that you will review the RfC, and add any feedback you think is appropriate. Thanks. Jkelly 03:13, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ronald20

[edit]

After sticking to lots of small edits that have been mostly harmless, Ronald20 moved KDIS to KDIS (AM) by doing a cut-and-paste job. I know that you are on limited admin duty, but I figured that I would start with you since you are the admin that I think is most familar with him. BlankVerse 19:48, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You should check the other edits that he's done as an anon IP from o1.com today. I only checked the one because it is on my watchlist and I was just about to sign off. Note: I also left a message on his talk page, but not the anon IP page about doing cut-and-paste moves. BlankVerse 20:21, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Where are those radio station rules hidden. I ended up copying the rules for television from someplace to Category:Television stations in Los Angeles just so that I'd know what they all meant. BlankVerse 20:31, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
There is probably one of the WikiProjects that is more explicit, but the coverage at Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Broadcasting should probably be made clearer because that is where most people will look. BlankVerse 20:51, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Note: Conflicting guidelines: Wikipedia:WikiProject Radio Stations says use KCBS (AM). (There is also the Wikipedia:WikiProject Television Stations for television stations). BlankVerse 13:09, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for Les Crane

[edit]

Hello, good work on Les Crane. However, you forgot to add any references to the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as I'm sure you are aware there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. What websites, books, or other places did you learn the information that you added to Les Crane? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? Thank you very much. - SimonP 04:32, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for cleaning up my big show article. good stuff. Also can you give me a link to change the name of the article (i want to make it "The Big Show (sports talk radio" instead of "The big show (sports radio show)". Zzz345zzz 08:15, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

SCinet

[edit]

Why are you so adamant about blocking my wiki page? If SCinet is "link spam" then so is the Storcloud page which is from the SAME conference. [1] As I said, before you deleted and blocked me, I was still WORKING on the page.

Advice re AfD / Speedy deletion nominations

[edit]

Hi, Lucky 6.9. Thanks for actioning some of my deletion nominations, and for moving a couple of others to the user's talk pages. Is there a set of guidelines on Wikipedia for when it is appropriate to move to a user's talk page, rather than delete? Am I failing to WP:AGF with some of my nominations? I'd appreciate any feedback; I want to keep Wikipedia up to a certain standard, but I don't want to antagonise new page creators, either. With thanks, Colonel Tom 02:03, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Back quicker than I expected to be - can/should this page Raphael Wicky be locked for a short while? It's subject to vandalism at the moment, & I don't want to just re-edit all the time. Thanks, Colonel Tom 02:23, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

SCinet (/Storcloud) Wiki pages

[edit]

I heard from Steve Lau that the SCinet wikipedia page had been deleted originally because an administrator thought that SCinet was a company and the page was some sort of advertisement.

The current delete says "copyvio," which I assume means some sort of obvious copyright violation. I can't imagine how this would have occurred. I know we've written our own copy and have published our own architecture documents, I don't know what sort of copyrights would be violated.

Anyways, I'd like to hear more about what happened with this deletion. I dedicate a few weeks of consciousness to SCinet every year, and would love to have a permanent record I can point to to fill people in (and make my wife happier).

I understand that Storcloud is going away. At first blush I'd think that would make it less important to document, but maybe it makes it more.

Thanks,

Hi Lucky, I have a question that I hope you can answer. I know that anon users can not vote on RfA's but what about AfD's? If they can't vote should their comments be disregarded, or deleted? Thanks! P.S. The weekend was great btw thanks KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 02:49, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response! My question was more directed towards AfD's rather than RfA's. Thanks KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 06:08, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea if its true but he's going at an very fast rate. Maybe he should be blocked promptly? Thanks KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 06:14, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
If my memory is as good as I think it is I've been here since the 24th of September 2005. I think adminship would be very useful. I've read the policy guidelines about adminship a few times. I only have a somewhere around 1200 edits I'm not sure because Kates Tool is down. I thought about being an admin of course but from what I understand there are a lot of people who would oppose simply because I have a low edit count. Though with all my deleted edits that goes up to 1300 lol. I think running for adminship would be great I just don't think I have enough experience as of yet. KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 06:24, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
:-D A smile should be sufficient for the kind words you've expressed to me. I think by the start of the new year I should have enough experience to feel that I am both capable and dependable for the job. Then again there is no way to tell the future lol. I appreciate your sentiments. KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 06:35, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

H1! I'm actually farther away from the range than you are, (in Fresno) but try to get to the desert as much as possible. I love the Kelso Dunes area. I'll have to get out there and take some pictures for some of the mountain ranges I've been writing about. Thanks for the note-take care! Snowfalcon 18:11, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

No problem, mate. Tonywalton  | Talk 20:07, 6 December 2005 (UTC) anything new??Maoririder 21:44, 6 December 2005 (UTC) lucky?[reply]

"s OK (and I really don't mind if you call me "dude" :-) ). I read through the RfC and RfA and I'd be willing to help out. However I have caught a couple of contrbutions tonight which I've "dealt with"; Bloodring banger which I speedy tagged (the complete content was "a car") and Grain mill, originally reading "a grain mill is like a grain elevator but grain is prosessed there.", which I redir-ed to Mill (grinding) but I see someone else has improved the redir immensely to Grist mill.
This is a fine line, I guess; I see the point about a lot of these contributions being expandable, but when they simply aren't, either because they verge on {{nonsense}} or because they are redirectable I shall probably carry on editing... How does this mentoring thing work, anyway? Does someone have an assigned "mentor" who kind of officially wikistalks them, or what? Tonywalton  | Talk 23:32, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey Lucky. You just deleted a page Cloud Starchaser, but I believe that to be a relevant article. You did not leave any comments on the comment page about it, but it was listed as a Nonsense article. Although somewhat new to wikipedia, I don't see how it meets the definition for that, as it is not patent nonsense or undecipherable text. I thought it wouldn't be speedily deleted and that I would at least have a chance to discuss it and improve it for five days before a final decision about its appropriateness was made. Thanks for your help in clarifying this matter.

GGG Article

[edit]

Thank you very much. I've wondered many times about that bizarre chord. Part of the reason it sounds so strange is the instrumentation—you've got a number of sound effects, along with the chimes, bass guitar, and a few other instruments. Bottom line: I'm going to venture a guess that it's based on Ab dim7/Bb. Datameister 17:26, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you delete my article on the WA police royal commission? It was properly stubbed and referenced with veriable sources. You didn't even consult me. How do you justify this? jmd 07:32, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm I wonder who found the copy vio for Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/STACY'S MUSIC ROW REPORT I just can't figure out who found it hmmmm lol Thanks for the help. KnowledgeOfSelf | talk 07:48, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Jewish Jewels

[edit]

You deleted the article as a copyvio. A new user named Sonustar, whom I believe to be Aisha Goodison, has restored it. Since I edited her vanity page to take the puffery out of it (and added info on her lawsuit against Madonna!), she has left a message on my talk page accusing me of being a Muslim on a nefarious crusade to deface or remove Christian and Jewish web pages. As the immortal Motor-mouth Maybelle said in the film Hairspray, "Ooh papa-tooney, we got a looney!" I never touched the Jewish Jewels, nor even knew it existed. You might want to delete the article again. Zora 09:29, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Southwest Guilford High School

[edit]

May I ask why you felt it necessary to delete this article? May I direct your attention to the fact that almost all Guilford County Schools (e.g. Eastern Guilford High School) are in Wikipedia and have not been deleted even though the majority of them are very short stubs?

Your speedy of STACY'S MUSIC ROW REPORT

[edit]

While I don't really care (since it wouldn't have survived afd), I'm not sure your speedy deletion of STACY'S MUSIC ROW REPORT was really justified under WP:CSD A8. Geocities doesn't meet the definition of a "commercial content provider" as specified, since it's just an annoying personal homepage provider. Given the username that created the article (User:MUSIC ROW), I think it's highly likely the Geocities page was owned by the same person who uploaded it, and thus was done with permission.

That said, it was press-release nonsense about something most likely completely non-notable, and thus I don't really give a damn ;) —Matthew Brown (T:C) 23:57, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
