Claims like "Australia's Hollywood" are regarded as WP:PEACOCK terms. They are seen as promotional and pretty much indefensible with any kind of citation. Yes, movies get made on the Gold Coast, but the section of the article on Film says the Gold Coast is in 3rd place on the list after Sydney and Melbourne, so that doesn't sound like Australia's Hollywood to me. If you are serious about trying to present the Gold Coast's movie-making in a positive light, do it with facts. Go to the section of films and update it (the current citation is about 10 years ago). What films etc were made on the Gold Coast, what kind of budgets, what did they make at the box office? etc. Having done that, you are now in a position to go back to the lede paragraphs and summarise that as "The Gold Coast is a major centre for film making with X movies made, costing $X million, making $Y million". Impress us with big numbers associated with major movies not with a 15 sec advertisement followed by what looked like a breakfast TV show with some unidentified person saying the Gold Coast is Australia's Hollywood. PS if you want to make your editing experience much easier, go to Preferences (top right of sceen) > Editing and make sure "Temporarily disable the visual editor while it is in beta" is NOT ticked. If it is ticked, untick it and SAVE (lower left). Then go and check the "Editing mode" and set it to "Show me both editor tabs" and again SAVE. Now you have the new Visual Editor (the "edit" tab) and the old markup editor that you are currently using (the "edit source" button). I think you will find the Visual Editor much easier to edit articles. If you need any help with it, just ask. Kerry (talk) 06:56, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm undoing your edit against me since you haven't proven that it is a WP:PEACOCK term. It is only a WP:PEACOCK term if you definitively state something; such as, This house is the greatest, which is considered a WP:PEACOCK. In comparison mine would have comparable to; Some have claimed this house is great, then using references to show that. The claim that the Gold Coast is Australia's Hollywood (despite being 3rd in film making) refers to the Hollywood blockbusters that have been filmed there over the past decade, whereas only a few have been filmed in Sydney and Melbourne and most of those were from the early 2000s. The claim even compares to how some see New Orleans or Quebec City as the most European cities in North America, or how Melbourne has been compared to NYC, but I'm not comparing cities, I'm comparing industries, with references. So please show me next time.Luckyowl10 (talk) 13:23, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
