In answer to a question you raised on the AfD (which didn't seem the place to reply): you can find the relevant official policy at Wikipedia:Sources. In brief: use a secondary source (a book, a newspaper, a website: it doesn't have to be online, it doesn't even have to be in English, but it does have to be independent of the subject of the article) to establish that this is something of "note"; once that is established, you can use primary sources to flesh out the content (as you point out that article on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms does). The main problem with DW Three Kingdoms is that there is no indication that this is anything more than promotional material. You need to present evidence that there is wider interest in the company or its product (news coverage, reviews, etc.) before you draw on their own documentation or the contents of the book itself. As things stand, my advice would be to add a couple of sentences about this new English retelling to Romance of the Three Kingdoms#Cultural references and turn the articles you created into redirect pages to that, then revisit the issue in six months time armed with book reviews from reputable journals/websites/fanzines. --Paularblaster (talk) 21:01, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
