Non-free rationale for File:Foundation Krste Misirkov.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Foundation Krste Misirkov.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 16:56, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are new here

[edit]

Hello. You are new here and have obviously chosen to edit Macedonian related articles. These articles are the product of a long consensus between many editors. Please do not break the consensus. August 2011

[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

l, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in you being blocked from editing. Jingby (talk) 08:39, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that if you want to make a change to the existing text of an article which is opposed, the onus is on you to obtain consensus suport for it on the Talk page. Only proceed to make the change when you have consensus support. Don't keep reverting to get your way. Before you go any further read WP:CONSENSUS and WP:BRD. Jingby (talk) 09:16, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please, do not delete any sourced content from Bulgarians in Albania without consensus, or I am going to report you to the Admins. Thank you. Jingby (talk) 13:41, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The removed information had nothing to do with the actual minority group, but the idea regarding that groups existence. The information dealing with them has remained. Your revert wars are equally as worthy of admin intervention. Lunch for Two (talk) 13:44, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your opinion is not more important then the sources, which support this historical facts. You can make some clarifications, but please, do not delete them. Jingby (talk) 13:53, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My Clarification is that sentences in the article such as "Arben Xhaferi, the president of the Democratic Party of Albanians in Republic of Macedonia stated in an interview for Albanian newspaper Shekulli in 2006 that in his opinion the Slavic-speaking inhabitants of Mala Prespa and Golo Brdo are Bulgarians, he is known for referring to ethnic Macedonians as Bulgarians."
Does not add to the value of the article. What does this statement achieve? Do we learn about Bulgarians in Albania with comments like this? No, it is just a remark made in passing with little actual relevance to the article. Have a look at the edit which I made and tell what exactly is wrong with it. The edit is in fact more to the point of what the article should be. Lunch for Two (talk) 13:58, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Lunch, I do not know who is right here, but I see you are edit warring across multiple articles. This kind of behavior will get you blocked even if your edits are correct. I've protected the articles for a week; this should give you two enough time to work things out. If you are not able to work together as Wikipedia requires, then you will need to go to WP:dispute resolution. — kwami (talk) 10:09, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, I think that a week will be sufficient time to sort the issues out. Lunch for Two (talk) 12:31, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Kostas Novakis. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

In particular, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. Laveol T 15:09, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I will bring it up. You could have however approached the issue less formally, it would have been appreciated. Lunch for Two (talk) 15:10, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is a template to stop you from breaking the 3RR rule. How should I approach an issue when you simply revert it constantly? --Laveol T 15:19, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I was under the impression that I did not break the 3RR rule, apparenly had I reverted 5 minutes later it would not have been 3RR. Fair enough if I was reverting something which I was clearly wrong about, but come on, in this instance?!. Lunch for Two (talk) 15:24, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Belomorci.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Belomorci.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please upload your free media to Commons

[edit]

It is better if your free images can be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons as opposed to Wikipedia. Freely licensed or public domain media are more accessible to other Wikimedia projects if placed on Commons. Thank you: Jay8g (talk) 21:36, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute Resolution

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Dispute_resolution_noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.  Nipsonanomhmata  (Talk) 23:50, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Greek Dances

[edit]

Leventikos and Zaramo are greek varieties.Create new articles for your macedonobulgarian dances.

OK then you can add these information but don't remove greek music templates. Also the "aegeanmacedonia" term is offensive. There are only greek and slav macedonians.
"Aegean Macedonian" is a irredentist term used to refer to greek macedonia. As i said before ,slavs and greeks are not the same.Tot12 (talk) 11:10, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

POV-pushing in Greek village articles

[edit]

Please stop deliberately misquoting the source by using words such as "purely" or "entirely" in regards to the complex ethnolinguistic reality of Florina's villages. A case in point is this edit of yours. Far from the village being "entirely" Slavic-speaking, the language is in fact spoken "uniquement par des personnes de plus de 60 ans, dans la plupart des cas seulement en privé". If you don't understand French, get someone to translate it for you. ·ΘΕΟΔΩΡΟΣ· 15:39, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lofoi. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

Please stop your extremely disruptive behaviour. The only you do here is to engage the users to revert the mass of well sourced informtion removed by you because you don't like it. As in National Liberation War of Macedonia, Bulgarians in Albania, Macedonians (ethnic group), Slavic speakers of Greek Macedonia, Bulgarians and almostly all the pages you edit, you revert the mass remvals for more than 10 times, somewhere 20 and on the whole you don't do other than long and groundless edit-wars. The users want to do more fruitful things instead wasting their time with reverting this long and serial repetitive vandalism, POV-pushing, etc. nonsenses. If you continue the vandalism I will go to WP:AE and I will request your blocking for your disruptive behaviour. --Dinner for three (talk) 12:49, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of WP:ARBMAC

[edit]
The Arbitration Committee has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions (information on which is at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions) on any editor who is active on pages broadly related to the Balkans. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The Committee's full decision can be read in the Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Macedonia#Final decision section of the decision page.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions, with the appropriate sections of Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Procedures, and with the case decision page.

As well as edit warring on National Liberation War of Macedonia it appears from your contributions and the warnings you've received above that you've been engaging in similar behaviour elsewhere. I realise that you perhaps see your actions as countering the POV of others, but you should realise that Wikipedians in general are sick to death of nationalist and ethnic quarrels, and have very little sympathy for those that engage in them. Consequently if you continue to gain yourself a reputation as an edit warrior you can expect to prevented from editing Wikipedia in the near future. This notice is logged at WP:ARBMAC#Log of warnings. EyeSerenetalk 10:14, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I understand where you are coming from. However, this reaction in regards to two edits seems a bit heavy handed. Lunch for Two (talk) 10:30, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Lunch for Two. I just wanted to apologise if you felt I had been offensive at Macedonian language. I sincerely did not intend to offend.  Nipsonanomhmata  (Talk) 16:31, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate the apology, however you must be aware that some of your comments have been truly offensive. I have tried to be more than civil with yourself and have not at one stage attempted to liken the Greek people to a mass-produced Yugoslav car, a mixed pedigree or to a pseudo/invented nation. Your ability to voice your opinions indicates that you are an intelligent person, however your opinion itself indicates that you are very deluded and reluctant to accept what other people say. I suggest that you acknowledge the existence of the Macedonian people and also acknowledge that there are also people who live in Greece who belong to the same ethnicity. You might be interested in watching this video with accompanying translation. Lunch for Two (talk) 12:31, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have not used the words "mixed" or "invented". I am always happy to listen to what is considered to be the history and background of this ethnicity. I do not deny that there is a small percentage of the population that is the same ethnicity as some of the Slavic-speakers of Macedonia in Greece. I have never denied that. But I have never seen any historical evidence that the majority of the population has any connection with the majority of the Slavic-speaking population of Macedonia in Greece. That is the sticking point.  Nipsonanomhmata  (Talk) 15:22, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Who cares whether they comprise 70% or 7%?! I have never even discussed that. You just can't accept the fact that there is an ethnic Macedonian population minority living in Greece. Lunch for Two (talk) 15:25, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There is a Macedonian population majority living in Greece but they are ethnically Hellenic/Greek and the vast majority cannot speak Slavic. There are some Slavic-speaking ethnic Greeks too (who are bilingual) who are Macedonians (of Greece). There are other Slavic-speakers of Greece who are ethnically from the former Yugoslavia (including the "Republic of Macedonia" and Serbia), Bulgaria and there are many immigrants from Russia). How do you classify the Greek-speakers of the "Republic of Macedonia"? Not all of them were originally from Macedonia (Greece) although many are. Are they mentioned anywhere on Wikipedia?  Nipsonanomhmata  (Talk) 15:49, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If you are incapable of understanding what the term "ethnic Macedonian" means then maybe you are better off not editing Macedonia related articles. Lunch for Two (talk) 15:53, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I understand what the "Republic of Macedonia" would like "ethnic Macedonian" to mean. But I remain unconvinced of that definition.  Nipsonanomhmata  (Talk) 16:10, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2014 insurgency in Luhansk, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Stakhanov and Pervomaisk (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
