This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Eva Pierrakos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

The article Core energetics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable; just repackaged new age nonsense.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Core energetics for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Core energetics is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Core energetics until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. JoelWhy? talk 18:30, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I deleted your recent article because

  • It did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references. As a matter of policy, all biographies of living people will be deleted if they do not have references.
  • It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: an instrument through whom a large body of spiritual wisdom was communicated... well-known novelist... gift for automatic writing... Supported and guided... apparently channeled... a series of important changes... the effectiveness of the Pathwork teachings... pristine land...

Core Energetics[edit]

Hi, you can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your recent article because

  • It did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets thenotability guidelines. Although you have references they are clearly not independent, nor is quoting Pierrakos.
  • It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: strives to achieve transformation through self-discovery and self awareness and claims to help in integrating mind, body, will, emotions and spirit... It is designed to allow the individual to deeply feel their emotions and conflicting feelings... more rapidly than with traditional talk therapy... can be used for removing the deep seated causes of depression... clearing the aura, aligning the chakras and removing the negative thoughts which can block the flow of positive energy in the body... one must understand every aspect of their inner self, their strength, their beauty and the depths of their darkness... in core energetics each layer of a being is identified and brought into awareness...
  • It's obviously intended to push a particular philosophy. Adding the odd "purportedly" doesn't change that (and the Pierrakos bits are unsourced anyway... ultimate happiness, abundance of joy and life satisfaction which can be done by creating the burst of positive energy that can be channelized properly... Core Energetics therapy helps the individual to achieve the in the right direction to achieve spiritual, mental and physical healing. The individual will be able to learn how to mobilize his body energy that lies within his body for his benefits. Core Energetics helps to access hidden aspects of ourselves - a process of difficult emotions that may otherwise to be painful to hold or even talk about. It also helps to manage overwhelming emotions and becomes the catalyst in processing them so they may be more easily digested

I've deleted the even more blatantly promotional new version, but User:Meco has offered to help (see his messages on my talk page), and has the deleted original text here. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:18, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You left a message on my talk page about this article, but I've not been involved in editing it. Just a head's up to let you know. Meclee (talk) 20:12, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox version[edit]

It's not the number of citations that matter, adding more Pierrakos refs makes little difference, since he's clearly not an independent source. You need references to uninvolved, high-standard sources to both establish notability and get an unbiased, encyclopaedic view. The content, being based only on his views, remains highly promotional and partisan. Why don't you wait and see what Meco comes up with? He is a supportive and experienced editor who might be able to come up with something more acceptable. Have a look at Scientology to see how a non-mainstream (and controversial) view of life can be presented in an encyclopaedic way. I'm not suggesting something as long or detailed as that, but look at how the topic is handled, and the quality of the referencing Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:35, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
